Captain Valdia Black, Half Elf Trade Princess of Qadira and consummate pirate Rogue strides into the Grand Lodge. She casually flings a Red Mantis helmet into Venture Captain Shevala Iorae's office, the head inside spraying a little blood onto her desk.
"Torch is alive, and still bug-ugly. He's also a big friend of the Shadow Lodge or somesuch, for what it's worth. He'll be by presently," she slurs drunkenly, as she has for the bast 18 years. Shocked, the Venture Captain hands the pirate a pouch of coins and thanks her for another mission completed. Hefting the pouch, Valdia laughs in her usual, strange way and turns to leave. "That'll be enough for me to retire, then. I've a couple babies and a blue man to take care of and all..." As she leaves, Shevala hears a loud thunk on the door, worried that the Captain's liver has finally failed, she rushes out to see what has happened. A mithral knife is wedged into her door, holding up a note detailing Captain Black's retirement notice. Valdia, however, is nowhere to be seen. It rambles and meanders, but a small note catches the Venture Captain's eye. "P.S. Should the Society ever be in Dire need of assistance, Drandle knows where to find me. Tell him to summon the Kraken."
22 years later, Venture Captain Dreng stands on the shores of Absolom, absentmindedly rubbing a magical coin, emblazoned with Besmara's holy symbol. In the distance, a huge with black sails warship returns home.

Thadius Volcani, Human Musket Master (12), Grand Lodge faction. After concluding aggressive trade negotiations with the rodent denizens of Round Mountain, Thadius retires north to his hunting lodge in the Realm of the Mammoth Lords.
While there he begins work on the sequel to his Absalom Press number one best seller “Things I’ve Shot,” titled “More Things I’ve Shot.” After completing his second book, Thadius looks to the south with nostalgia.
A missive from the Pathfinder Society for one last assignment sets him in motion. He does have to deliver the manuscript for More Things I’ve Shot to Absalom Press for printing, and with an assignment from the Society, he feels that he’ll have enough material for a third book.
So, with pages in hand, and his musket on his shoulder, Thadius heads south, ready to explore and gain new material for “Even More Thinks I’ve Shot,” the final volume to his autobiographical adventure trilogy, “Shoot All The Things!”

1st thing: congratulations on reaching lvl 20.
2nd thing: In looking at the post retirement material, what modules get you to 20??? I do not remember seeing anything for lvl 18/19 PCs.
Typically, end eyes of the ten at 13.2
Then run sanctioned APs, ending with Shattered Star or Rise of the Runelords part 6 (which is level 16-18 characters), which ends you at 19.2.
Then run the Race for the Runecarved Key special, which can be played at any level, ending you at 20.

Congratulations!
Thanks, guys.
As for the how, Lormyr's got it. Eyes of the Ten->various modules and APs->Race for the Runecarved Key. Back in early 2013, when Lady Gabrielle was approaching eligibility for the Ruby Phoenix Tournament, I set a goal, made a plan, and yesterday it was completed.

Venture Captain Eliandra Azucar, Sczarni. Aasimar Lore Warden 2/Scroll Scoundrel 11
Eliandra, you did a good job helping defeat [redacted]. I am sorry you died. Please know that your death made me very upset, and I beat up the one responsible. I am glad you are alive now.
Maybe before you move we can see if the lands of Irrisen hold any more adventure.
Brevick Axeflail |
Trade Prince Brevick Axeflail, "The Sundering Fury", Dwarven Magus, formerly of the Shadow Lodge, and continued servant of Rovagug, has just reached level 12.
Accompanied by his trusty Quasit Familiar, "Tik", of course.

Dakin the hottest pathfinder in the world who is quite stuck on herself with a slight mental illness has reached level 12.
As an Oracle of the Dark Tapestry she has always been a little demented. She likes to stick her wand in inappropriate places. She also likes to stick it inside wounds and stir it around a bit before activating the wand. She’s been called many things, a b~!~$, stuck up, crazy, but with her 28 Charisma and advanced skills at healing most people wanted her around as eye candy if nothing else. She also liked to use her looks to get her ways with all kinds of NPC’s both male and female alike. Dakin and Zarta have had a few wild nights that no one will forget.
She’s better than everyone else and she knows it.
If you’ve never adventured with her that’s your loss, she’s retired now.
Dakin lvl. 12 Oracle of the Dark Tapestry. Faction: Cheliax
Daxter Bateman |
The Master of Trade and Entrepreneur, Daxter of Qadira, has just defeated Krune, has retired to Seeker. He proved he was the superior mage that day.
Though his imp, Galio died in the line of duty, his sacrifice will not be forgotten or unappreciated.
Daxter Bateman, Enchanter Wizard 12. Faction: Qadira.

My very first PFS game was Aug 19, 2012. I have three 12+ characters:
Atrahasis
Human Male Cleric Level 12 and 2/3 Silver Crusade
Ignatius
Human Male Paladin/15 Silver Crusade
Eyes of the Ten got him to 13 and 2/3
Rise of the Runelords GM credit got him to 14 and 2/3
Race for the Runecarved Key got him to 15
This Sunday, Tomb of the Iron Medusa will get him to 16
Dar Credito
Human Male Sorcerer/12 Silver Crusade
And I have another who's a most there:
Raphael
Human Male Sorcerer/11 and 2/3 Silver Crusade
I plan to run Eyes of the Ten later this year and apply that credit to Dar Credito. Then use my GM replays to replay Eyes of the Ten with either Raphael or
Sjatte
Half-Orc Male Barbarian Silver Crusade
In my lodge we also have Academy of Secrets scheduled in a few weeks. I may do that with Atrahasis.

Grog Da Half Orc |
An Half-Orc with a Scythe on his back comes in, sits heavily on the bar stool, puts a Dino tooth on the bar to look at it, and orders three drinks.
"Me Grog. Level 12th, Weapon Master with Lunge, Whirlwind, power attack and Step up and Strike." He pauses. "Any good mods for a 12th level dwarf.. err, adopted son of a dwarf... Oh, hell, a Half Orc with a Scythe?"
Escadreil "Skad" Acheron |
"That's it, I'm done."
The half-elf's voice is sharp as he glares at whoever the poor sod is that files retirement papers at the Grand Lodge. A clearly deliberate signature scrawled on the thick folder he's dropped on the desk between the two reads not his usual nickname, but his first and last - "Escadreil Acheron". Clearly, he means business. More so than usual, at least.
"If you morons manage to figure out that your Venture-Captains, for the most part, can't tell their elbows from their rears and finally give them the boot, feel free to ask me to take up a position someplace nice. Until then, I'll be somewhere under Absalom. My kids will know where to find me."
(Escadreil "Skad" Acheron and his partner Soular Ajalaitle reached level 12 today in The Sealed Gate. They leave their two children, Sykni and Sorelev, to keep an eye on the Society while they go on a much-needed vacation.)
Ra Loi, Eagle Knight Captain |
Ra Loi, Elven Grenadier, has now reached lvl 16. He will return back to his own coastal island off of Thuvia and train Eagle Knight marines until the Ten call again.
He has also heard that Andoran is now splintering into other factions. He doesn't know what to think of "Liberty's Edge", but it might be time for him to form his own faction, "Freedom's Razor".
*if you read this message, you are now on fire and will take 1d6 fire damage on your turn until extinguished.
Alanya |
Presenting Venture Captain Alanya Reislyng (Female Half-Elf Rogue 7, Bard 2, Shadow Dancer 7). She spends most of her time Hiding in Plain Sight, so you're excused from not knowing about her. ;-) Her constant companion is her Shadow, Casper (Too!), who replaced the original Casper after it gave its 'life' doing some reconnaissance during Eyes of the Ten. She just finished having some fun in the Tomb of the Iron Medusa.
Also making an appearance is the fire-loving Linji (Female Gnome Druid 11 2/3), who will reach 12 in less than 2 weeks, and immediately join in the fun at Academy of Secrets to get her to 13. Her Animal companion is the mighty tiger Sparky, whom she's had since he was a cub at the very beginning of their Pathfinder journey. Linji enjoys turning into elementals, as well as burning everything that gets in her way!

David Bowles wrote:I'm flabbergasted that anything in a PFS scenario could kill your shadow. There are so many scenarios that a shadow can solo :)So True!
He kind of triggered a major encounter and took all the readied attacks and area affects meant for us. He then lost initiative and they got to attack him again before he could get out of there, which was more damage than he could handle, even with him only taking half. I fortunately made my save and didn't take the negative level, but I was Shadowless for the rest of the arc, as I had to wait 30 days to call another one... :-(

I am now 13th level (Fighter 1, Wizard 6, Eldritch Knight 6), having come just short of becoming a Venture Captain.
I am also 13th... and am kicking myself for some of the stupid decisions that caused my to barely fail becoming a Venture Captain as well. I am a Lawman of Abadar (Musket Master 5/Inquisitor 8). Looking forward to the opportunity to continue serving the Society, Golarion, and Abadar (not necessarily in that order).
Vera (my musket), is also looking forward to our redemption.
