What do you, or what have you heard from players, as you/they charge into battle?

Spoon!

Leeeerooooy Jenkins!

Pie!

It's clobberin' time!

MY MOTHER WAS A SAINT!!!

My old bard on EQ used to yell, " Time to bleed!" before re-entering a dungeon notorious for mob trains. He was, of course, mostly referrring to himself.

RUN AWAY!! *cloppity cloppity clopity*

"My mother got smashed, now so will you!"

"It's weird! Kill it!"

Been the battle-cry in our group for thirty years.

My group's favorite mantra seems to be "He seems legit." That is usually the code for 'roll initiative' from the DM.

"Goody! experience points!"

I hope to make my players cry in battle some day. I've come pretty close, but sadly not enough to witness any tears. So delicious... those sweet, sweet player tears.

The Exchange

let's see, not strictly related to Fantasy settings...

"Let's kick some ass, brah!" (bro)

"To battle, New Warriors!"

"Who the hell do you think I am?" (obligatory)

"Justice! Justice for the dead!"

"Hold on, I think I have something in my bag that can deal with this." ~ Zoel Ux Arytiss, Dragonborn Monk

"Your father was a lizardman and your mother was a toad!" ~ Zoel, taunting a Blue Dragon

"The Lady Luck Fortune Troupe - when you absolutely, positively need it destroyed overnight." ~ Helena

"Remember: listen, crack, look, then open. Then hide behind something as needed... or someone." ~ Darktower Vashrellehn, Illumian Rogue

"The terrifying power of the sex drive is horrifically demonstrated by the fact that someone was willing to father you." ~ Dresylaer, Killoren Bard

"Dammit, if I stay here I'm not going to get to kill ANYTHING!" ~ Shariss Dal, Skarn Barbarian and Champion of Kord

"I'm gonna suplex a ram!" - Zhandouji

In NWN, one of the groups I ran with on occasion would use "Get him! He has a magic item!" for rare spawns or boss monsters on low-magic servers.

Some of the ones I've heard:

"Here I come, and the Hells come with me." Icewind Dale II (VG), said by Kevin Michael Richardson (Male voice selection 1, if memory serves.)

"Torm take you!" My second campaign, said by one of my players as a joke.

"Ha, time for a bit of the rough and tumble." Balder's Gate (VG), said by voice actor for one of the Male voice selections.

"Block! Parry! Fa-tality! Gods I have missed violence." JourneyQuest Season 1, said by The Sword of Fighting.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

"Take that, you fiend!" (My rogue has taken a level of sorcerer that I haven't mentioned to the other players and has True Strike, so when she uses that I use the battle cry to tell the DM to adjust the AC that she has hit accordingly.)

"Suck it nerd!" has become a favorite of my group.

I once had a halfling rogue that had the old "quicker than the eye" feat that would allow you to sneak attack somebody you had just bluffed. His battle cry was usually one of three things "behind you!!" "your boots are untied" and my personal favorite "look at the birdie" while motioning with his offhand. Once he tagged the BBEG three times in a row, it was hysterical :-D

I love that one from icewind dale.
"UUUUPHA, seems like i have to go on another killing spree"...in a very bored and annoyed voice...

Oh, I remembered another one. "Crush! Kill! Destroy!" uttered by a dwarven fighter of mine before every battle. It is worthy to note that those were the only intelligible words he ever spoke during the whole course of the campaign. (Made playing him a fun challenge)

Good, Bad ... I'm the guy with the gun..
London bride is falling down!
Yo! She-witch.
These would be uttered my my gunfighter, if he could speak. Fortunately for others he cannot, otherwise it would be very disruptive to game play. lol

"B!+ches leave."

"I'm really not a nice guy."

In an internet video that my brother watches, there are a few characters who shout "Crush! Kill! Destroy! Swag!" over and over. I hear him say that all the freaking time.

Battle cries, not so much. But I've had characters that named their attacks/moves/weapons.

Halfling fighter who carried a 20 lb sledge he called Big Bertha

Marvel Super Heroes guy with gravity powers:
- Graviton Punch!
- Black Hole Bear Hug!
- Gravity Slam!

Grease spell plus a Burning Hands: Shake n Bake

I used to use "For the Cheeeeeze!!!" as my battle cry.

I also used to love "Butt kicking for justice!" from Baldur's Gate.

Other people I have played with have used...

"I'm gonna kill 'im to death!"
"Me am kill you!"
"By all that is stupid!"
"Kill, kill, kill, eat babies!"

That's all I can think of right now.

What makes the grass grow? BLOOD BLOOD BLOOD!

(after a good hit) STAINMASTER!

(in your best Macho Man) Snap into it! Ooh yeah brother, let it happen!

Eat a bag 'a (insert expletive here)!

It's comin right for us!

...and my personal fave, from a game where the token girl player asked for something her buff/debuff sorceress could shout IC when she intended to toss out a spell:

if buffing the party - "I've got cookies!"
if debuffing the enemy - "I've got Clamydia!"

Aside from all the above we've used one metric ton of movie/TV lines, or snippets thereof. Favorite movies to quote in the past have been the original Conan or Total Recall, Tommy Boy, Vacation, Caddy Shack Big Trouble in Little China and pretty much EVERY movie starring one Jean Claude Van Damme.

Oh, and one last one, from the movie Soldier with Kurt Russel:

I was playing a holy assassin type rogue who made a point like said movie to call everyone from the church (the whole party including women) Sir. Our characters plan to infiltrate the evil monk monastery with the rogue disguised to dupe the guards. Party wizard asks me: If you're in front and one of the guards blows your cover, what will you do then? Without missing a beat I look the player square in the eye and state

I'm going to KILL them all sir.

I got one of them before suddenly as if by MAGIC my Bluff/Feint/Sneak Attack simply stopped working. That was a rough campaign - in 3 levels across 3 days of marathon game play I got off 2 sneak attacks. I think I MAY have rubbed the GM the wrong way in that one...

I'm reminded by a pair of quotes from Braindead (or Dead/Alive):

"Stay back, boy. This calls for some divine intervention!"

"I kick ass for the Lord!"

EDIT: NSFW due to b-movie gore.

Here comes a big ol glass a SHUT UP JUICE!

"Oops, hope that grows back..."
"Kill it with fire!"
"Oh Gods, oh holy sweet mother of..." and it just goes downhill from there. Most of my battle cries are screams of terror, since most of my DMs are merciless...

"It's clobberin' time!"

Actually the first one is not the six million dollar man (I posted that one on the 'things you don't want to hear from the party necro', but I will give clues.

1. is a song by a kind of out there group. Harder Better Faster Stronger!
2. said by certain knights. Neet!

Most places and people I've seen spell it Nee, no T, or Ni (As does Wikipedia). You're the first person I've seen spell it with a consonant ending of any kind. Hence the confusion.

Anyway. Daft Punk and Monty Python.

Extra extra xp for correcting my spelling and getting the quotes correct!

You get to advance the level that I must give up seeing as how I spelled it wrong!

I'm not a battle cry kind of guy, I'm more of a "battle whisper in your ear as I shiv you" kind of guy.

I'm excellent at motivational speeches during torture sessions though. My character's rarely have to resort to actual physical torture.

"You know that monkish dude who just left the room? Yeah, he was your last hope of walking away from this unharmed, but I just talked him into taking a walk and not thinking too hard about this room here.

Now here's the fun part, I don't NEED the info you have, I WANT it. I can get by without it, so this is more about me and my pleasure than it is about you

*at this point I'd likely run a blade across their cheek or near their genitals, just enough to scratch and draw blood*.

So you have to ask yourself a question, how much is that information you're keeping from me REALLY worth to you? Because it ain't worth much to me, I'd be totally happy to just carve you up for a few hours, but that monk would prefer if you were alive and unharmed when he returns.

How about you do that monk a favour and give me what I want, eh?"

That was a great campaign... my slow corruption of an LN monk into an LE monk as I continually eroded his sense of morality. I remember the point where I said "You probably want to leave the room now, as usual" and the monk said "Actually, I'll stay and watch." it was magical.
