[Homebrew] Racial Favor Feat

Homebrew and House Rules

(working title)

Okay here's the deal, I had the idea of creating a feat that lets you choose one of the classes listed for your raceunder "Favored Class Options" in the APG.
Then, whenever you advance a level in that specific class, you receive the bonus listed as if taken as a favored class option (also retroactive if taken later in levels).

Limitations:
- if the class selected is ALSO one of your favored classes, you may NOT take the racial option twice. You must take a hit point or skill point instead.
- if the favored class option gives a bonus that depends on your level, you must use the exact level you would normally gain it and NOT your current level.

Example: If taken as a human sorcerer but at 10th level, you would NOT gain 10 4th level spells known, but rather 3x cantrip, 2x 1st, 2x 2nd, 2x 3rd, 1x 4th.

I am aware that this is WAY stronger then several other feats, but then again, taking 1 hp per level is BOTH a feat and a favored class option, so shouldn't all OTHER favored class options be the equivalent of 1 feat too? (measured over 20 levels)
And would anyone really TAKE "Expanded Arcana"?

Anyone care to leave some feedback?

I think it's a bit too much, especially with the example of human sorcerer given. Instead of doing that, you might just want to add a feat that gives an extra skill point per level (if there isn't already), so they could take Toughness and that for the equivalent and just take the racial options and still get everything if they really wanted it. But yeah, I don't know.

On a side note, in regards to Expanded Arcana, I like the idea of doing what Psionics Unleashed did with the feat Expanded Knowledge; you get one spell from your spell list or any other (probably restricted to either Arcane or Divine, as Psionics doesn't have that distinction) list thats one level lower than the highest you can cast. Would be really nice for classes with specific spell lists and feats to burn.

The more I looked into the racial class options, the more I realized HOW UNBALANCED they are!

Seriously. How OP is human sorcerer?

One free spell per level (you might skip your first 3 levels for skills/hitpoints) but afterwards?

The same for any other racial ability that gives additional spells known for classes with only a limited number of theses.
(it's okay for a wizard, but bard/sorc/inqui/etc. WAY too much)

I think the other abilities are okay, but of course I hadn't the time too see them ALL through.

"+1 concentration to cast **class** spells" might be a bit too much too, but then again, it's just concentration, and okay for primary fighter classes such as ranger, paladin or maybe the inquisitor (NO! way for wizards/sorcerers!)

Yeah I was amazed at the Human options for spontaneous casters as well. 1/2 for a spell would be good, but a spell at a one to one ratio for favored class option is amazing.
