I'm new to PFS, so forgive me if this type of question has been asked before. Do older sources often get added to Additional Resources during these updates? For example, Kobolds of Golarion (not for Kobolds, but for feats useful for legal, small characters).
Generally no, unless errata or FAQs are released that change something to make it fall within the PFS vision. The racial books can be assumed to be locked hard to only the PFS legal races, do not expect to see Kobolds of Golarion opened up.

Come on, Dirty Fighting...my high level Kineticist (that has yet to be swapped over from playtest) needs it to be a walking 3 stooges sketch!
All of this. Dirty Fighting is fantastic. Then again, I'd say that for anything that lets me replace combat expertise on maneuver builds that will never use it.

I know the answer is probably not good because of it consuming your money, but what are the odds of the coin shot spell being legal from Heroes of the Streets
Just looked at that spell and have plans for it in a future build, I do not see it being a big issue as it really is no different than using bullets that cost money.

Likewise I don't see an issue with the spell, this and Races of the Inner Sea are going to determine the direction of my new archaeologist.

Ok, two months since the last update, the update is historically on the last Wednesday of the month, I have been refreshing all day long. I have a new character that is dependent on a feat in dirty tactics toolbox that I was going to play this weekend, are we getting an update this month? Please?
Anyone?

Something to keep in mind is that the PFS leadership had a pretty big change recently, so updates and other things have slowed down because of that and other factors. There are also a lot of products and material to go through, too.
Just my opinion, but I'd much rather everything be done right in this case than something slipping through and down the road players getting angry when their characters are made illegal or ruined to some degree.

I get that, I was aware of that, but the sound of the update was that it was just going to have to go through the web team to get updated, not that there was still more work to do.

We did have a bit of a shake up, but the team is off and running. We know your anxious to see the updated Additional Resources and are working to make it happen!

Glad to hear that, Tonya! Can we expect the update next week?
I hope your transition into the OPC role is going well. Looking forward to seeing more from you in the coming months.

Traditionally, the updates to the Additional Resources page has been the last Wednesday of the month with at least 2 month delay between release of a product and the appearance in AR. So unfortunately it looks like we may be going 3 months between updates now, Which means up to 4 months between product release and PFS legality.

I actually think this delay between publication and PFS legality is a good thing - it gives a bit more time for any troublesome items to get shaken out before being made legal. A slight delay now is *much* less troublesome than having to ban an item later because it just doesn't work in the strange world of organized play.

I'm waiting for the new Lamplighter archetype from "Heroes of the Streets" to make it in... decided I'm going to play that one from 0XP.
As soon as I saw that Archetype, my first thought was, "well, there is certainly one *very* happy eponymous GM out there right now, I'd wager!" :)

If the purpose of PFS (from a business standpoint) is to help drive book sales, this is the opposite of good. You've lost your "new shiny" hype window. Players who wanted to utilize the new content as it is published will be pushed out of PFS. The players who are consistent early adopters are, in and of themselves, large sales drivers via referral. Taking them out of the PFS population actually weakens the PFS business justification.
This is especially bad after the pre-GenCon errata backlash - you have a significant, vocal contingent of promoters (in the NPS-sense of the word) suddenly trending passive and questioning their buying decision, and a subset of them are then given an additional reason not to purchase? Moreover, you have passives floating down to detractor and that same "bonus" reason handed to them? Not a good situation.
I'm all for quality, but there's gotta be a balance of expedience.

Zak,
I'm very sorry for the delay in the update to your stars. Not sure where the disconnect happened, as the web team is very proactive in updating the info once it is sent to them.
Regardless, we are tracking it down now!
Cheers!

Thanks for the update Tonya, I really appreciate that I can check the site and see an update from you guys that this is something you are actively working on.
Here is to getting the Eldritch Archer PFS legal! ::fingers crossed::

I really appreciate that, Tonya. I pmed you with a bit more information on a few others from my region who I think are in the same boat.

I will wait for the day on which I can play the Eldritch Archer.
My magus has always made do with the myrmidarch archetype, but this is so much better. Sadly, he only has 4 games left, so retraining is prohibitively expensive. It does bring up an interesting question though: both archetypes have an ability called "ranged spellstrike." Does the new one overwrite the old one? For once I'd be glad if it did.

Sometimes we have cause to revisit character options from previously published books—both in order to add previously banned options or to remove previously allowed options. If there's something that you'd like for the team to revisit, I recommend making a separate thread about it (helpful), explain your reasoning (very important), and see if it gains some traction with the community (not essential but serves as a handy metric on our end).
As a note, some banned character options appear on Chronicle sheets as "unlockable" options. I don't believe that's the case with any kobold feats, but that might be where they would appear in the future.

Does that mean we can expect them tomorrowish-esque™? Incredisoon? Moresoonerish?
