Grippli

Is there a boon in any of the PFS scenarios that allows the player to play a Grippli character? I just got the ARG, and the Grippli is right up my alley. I love frogs, and I would love to play my Grippli ranger in PFS, but that part of the ARG seems like it's completely off limits to PFS play.

Not currently, but I imagine the cons may be providing more unique boons to allow such things (always hoping for the change to allow my planned Vanara monk of many monkey styles :P).

BPC has it correct TBBF :)

Thanks. My froggie is named Kher-Met. He's a Grippli who was stolen from the jungles of Mwangi by slavers and sold to a merchant in the marketplace at Sothis. He grew up as a slave in Osirion, and while his mannerisms are Osirion, his passion is fighting slavery and looking for a way to get back to his tribe. The character build is based on a Dendrobates azureus poison arrow frog.

There are many boats that cross the seas between Osirion and Garundi.

Isn't Osirian on the Garundi continent?

So Paizocon didn't have any Grippli racial boons? >.>

And to think some one else wants Grippli boons

No, the only new boon presented was Fetchling.

Any Grippli bard should be required to sing Rainbow Connection at least once per session!

+1, you would have to name him Kaeru, but have his "real" name be glenn

Hmm, let's see ...

My Grippli Druid would be named Freddy. He would have a female Hippo animal companion named Henrietta and travel with a male human bard named Doug who had an owl familiar named Charlie. They would also have a female human bard named Emmy Jo.

How about a Grippli Cavalier named Kermit, with his boar mount named Miss Piggy?

On a side note, in the non-PFS game I am playing in, one of the players has a Grippli Rogue named Kermit. Predated my joining the game, so don't blame me. I am just playing a Lore Warden named Corben who uses a whip...

(And yes, there are definite similarities between Corben's build and Bruno's build)

ALL GLORY TO HYPN' OT'OAD.

I'm running a grippli rogue in a casual game right now, and it's all sorts of climby, jumpy, stabby fun!

Now this post may belong in a different thread... but its relevant here just because I came here expecting to jump into a campaign as a grippli Alchemist. Background and everything made up.. fun to make ^^

Anyway, to the question, what is the point of a boon? -Directed towards Staff.

Grand Lodge 4/5

You may only play Core Races, as well as tieflings, tengu and Aasimars, unless you have a boon that specifically advises you another race is ope, such as Dhampir, oread or sylph.

curious.. now shouldn't that mainly be up to the DM's running such campaigns?

In a home campaign, sure. In Pathfinder Society, I make the decisions of what is in and what is out. Grippli isn't an authorized race as they have not been offered on a boon to date. You wanted an answer from campaign staff. I was trying to offer you one.

Sczarni

I'm not complaining just getting the downlow on stuff just making sure it wasn't just a little rule that was optional or anything
Thank you for your help

There is a tier 1 GM gencon boon from 2013 that allows gripplis.

Indeed, now there is, but back in 2012, when this thread was created, there were no such boons.
