Multi-classing Gunslinger with Alchemist

Advice

Grand Lodge

Greetings. I'm going to be playing a new character, Bedmyr Thunderbeard, at PaizoCon UK and as I expect I'll level up I'm looking for a bit of advice from anyone who has multi-classed Gunslinger with Alchemist.

Bedmyr is an experimental kind of guy, a bit aggressive in combat preferring to come in close to pepper his enemies with shot before resorting to an axe if necessary.

What I'm not sure about is the 'mix' of multi-classing. I think I've written off 1-for-1 although I do think I'll take Alchemist at level 2. After that, however, I'm unsure. I definitely see him as more of a Gunslinger than an Alchemist but I think there is a lot of utility that I could take in Alchemist too.

Does anyone have any ideas?

None at the moment, but the system is screaming, SCREAMING I SAY for a Mystic Theurge equivalent of the gunslinger/alchemist. Hopefully something might get released with the Paths of Prestige supplement later in the year?

I agree completely. A lot of synergy could be met by a prestige class that combines aspects of the Gunslinger and Alchemist.

Actually the only legit way (I hate weapon cords and don't believe they are legit) to dual wield pistols is to use 2 levels in Alchemist to gain a Vestigial arm to reload your guns.

I recommend going Goblin and taking 1 level Gunslinger then 2 in Alchemist and finish Gunslinger. For Archtypes I recommend Grenadier for Alchemist and Pistoleero for Gunslinger. You can make a really good dual wield pistol Gunslinger and the Goblin feat to use Medium guns as a small race will help.

For feats if you go that route obviously Rapid Reload Pistols, Two Weapon Fighting, Precise Shot, Point Blank Shot, Clustered Shots, etc.

I should point out that this character needs to be Society legal, as it has since been moved from the Society General Discussion.

Then just take away the Goblin suggestion and make him Human. I'd still go the route I suggest because especially in PFS the weapon cords debate can change weekly depending on the GM.
