Convention boon question

At Dice Tower Con this past weekend, I picked up two special convention boons - one allows me to play a non-core race and the other is a Tian Ancestry boon that lets me start a character with an extra trait from the Dragon Empires Primer. Since the race boon has three Tian based races to choose from (nagaji, wayang, and kitsune), I figured I'd go with a Tian themed character who starts with both boons.

However, I just read the boons, and they both say "This Chronicle sheet must be the first Chronicle for the given character". By RAW, this pretty clearly states that I can't apply both boons to the same character. However, I'm wondering if the RAI on this is really "You must apply this boon at character creation, so the character must have this boon before you apply an adventure chronicle for the first time."

Can I get an official answer from Mike Brock or someone else official in PFS on this?

If so, I'm in violation. I applied the extra Tian Xia trait to my new Wayang Shadow Illusionist.

I took it to mean that you can't have played any games with the character before deciding to grant him or her a new trait or a non-standard race. This could have impact with the release of the new rule set and the anticipated rebuild rule for 1st level characters.

However, I could be wrong and the intent was to not allow anyone to apply both a special race and an extra trait to the same character. If so, I'll ret con the trait away.

I understand these boons to work as Will stated. They're intended to expand your options during character creation, not after. If Mike confirms this, then we could probably change future boons' text to read something like, "You must apply this boon before your first earned Chronicle sheet" or "You must apply this boon before you earn your first experience point."

I had that feeling, which is why I asked.

The funny part is that I still have absolutely no idea what character I'm making with these boons. I just made two new characters recently, on top of the 5 that I already have, so I don't have any burning desire to make another new character right now. And I haven't read up on the races, so other than the one or two sentence blurb on each one, I really don't know anything about them or which one I'd prefer to play.

But I've been intentionally spreading out my factions for variety, and I don't have a Lantern Lodge member yet. So I picked up these two Tian themed boons, and it just seemed like an obvious fit to do a Lantern Lodge character from Tian Xia using both boons.
