Tiefling alternate racial traits

Product Discussion

Just saw 'em... wanna build Hellboy now. I swear, it's possible now. Tiefling Gunslinger with the Fiendish Sprinter, Maw or Claw (especially if the DM is willing to grant a slam attack instead), Prehensile Tail, and Scaled Skin traits. To top it off, take the Fiendish Heritage feat, select Demon-Spawn, and grab the 17th ability (to wield a large revolver).

So... AWESOME!

Hellboy's not a Gunslinger (or not primarily anyway). He's got a gun, sure, but he's actually notably bad with it and usually has to resort to fisticuffs. I'd peg him as a Paladin or Barbarian, personally, though arguments can also be made for other Classes as well.

You've got his Race stuff down, though.

Yea, I was building him just now (just a dip into gunslinger; he is a terrible shot afterall). Got him down as a multi-class Gunslinger (Pistolero) / Barbarian (Titan Mauler).

The Titan Mauler archetype really emulates his style, as he is known to lock horns with the bigguns. As per rage powers... there's so much to choose from! Definitely gotta grab the fiend totems though (re-flavoring the second one so that instead of barbs dealing piercing damage, it's his thick skull rebounding for bludgeoning).

How to build Abe Sapien?! Has got to be an Undine Rogue with the Amphibious, Hydrated Vitality, and Water Sense traits.

That definitely sounds viable. I'm not sure if I'd go Fiend Totem, though. Beast Totem reflavored a little (and with the 'claws' reflavored as punches and switched to Bludgeoning damage) seems like a better bet to actually represent the stuff he does (the NA bonus is particularly apropos). Strength Surge is also a must-have, and Reckless Abandon would make some sene, too.

Invulnerable Rager might also be a better archetype than Titan Mauler. Hellboy is borderline invulnerable, after all. Titan Mauler's appropriate enough...but it seems like a lot of it's abilities would be at least partially wasted for him.

He's also got a decent Charisma and UMD as a class skill somehow (the Dangerously Curious Trait comes to mind).

That definitely orks, though Gillman might work, too. And I'd peg him as a Ranger, going by the comics, though a Rogue seems workable, too.

It's hard to emulate invulnerability as a character in pathefinder, but the Invulnerable Rager is a step in the right direction. Still, I love the idea of Titan Mauler coupled with the Catch-Off Guard, Body Bludgeon, and the like, so that he can hurl around massive objects.

Maybe Abe Sapien could be better represented as an Urban Ranger. The reason I went with Rogue was for the lack of magical abilities. Skirmisher could fix that, though.

Liz is pretty easy, but the rest of the lot get a lot trickier.

Johann Kraus could be represented as a Warforged. His class is a bit harder to nail down though. Perhaps some sort of Psion. Wizard could work, too (and perhaps Alchemist). Again, this runs the risk of making him too magical, though I guess PF versions of these guys would be slightly different than their comic & motion picture selves.

I don't even wanna start with Roger. Clay Golem maybe? Unique golem? That's too much of a hassle for me ~_~
