Draconic Disciple states that :
Blood of Dragons

A dragon disciple adds his level to his sorcerer levels when determining the powers gained from his bloodline. If the dragon disciple does not have levels of sorcerer, he instead gains bloodline powers of the draconic bloodline, using his dragon disciple level as his sorcerer level to determine the bonuses gained. He must choose a dragon type upon gaining his first level in this class and that type must be the same as his sorcerer type. This ability does not grant bonus spells to a sorcerer unless he possesses spell slots of an appropriate level. Such bonus spells are automatically granted if the sorcerer gains spell slots of the spell's level.

My question is as a crossblooded sorceror, as I gained levels in draconic discple I'd continue to gain access to additional bloodline abilities as I progress. Would I still have the ability to choose which powers I gain access to? The first line seems to suggest that I would but I'd like a fair interpretation before I go to my GM with this for Rise of the Ruin Lords.

Can I get anyone else's opinion or interpretation here?

I believe that by having Draconic as one of your Cross-blooded selections you have technically fulfilled your obligations, even if you do not continue to choose Draconic bloodline powers as you advance - your Dragon Disciple levels will still continue to stack with your Sorcerer levels. It might not stick to the spirit of the law but it will the letter of it.

I built a character similar to this, a Half-Orc who crossblooded Orc and Gold Dragon to go along with a couple of levels of Paladin... but in the end I discovered that it worked out better for me to go straight Draconic Sorcerer and add Half-Orc Bloodline powers through the Edlritch Heritage feat line. Either way it made for a great concept character who was potent both as a blaster or a melee combatant, but that -1 spell per level is a real kick in the cojones. Consider Linnorm from the Primal bloodlines for a true tank-mage.

I allow Cross-blooded to qualify for Dragon Disciple (if one BL is Draconic),
but Bl progression (new abilities, spells) from DD must go towards Draconic BL choices.
Note that if you don't take Claws, then a good chunk of DD abilities (Bite, Elemental damage) won't work,
although you can pick up earlier BL abilities at a later point (per Cross-Blooded).
I am inclined for DD not to 'scale' existing BL abilities (from non-Draconic), although I'm willing to compromise and allow that as long as DD is not granting NEW non-Draconic abilities.

Obviously the PrC wasn't written with Cross-Blooded's existence in mind.
