Cayden's Cup!

Which cup?

For settlement names, I still like Wort. A solid brewing reference that just sounds like the sort of place you would find in the middle of the badlands.

A Hearty Greeting to The Golden Flask!

I can only imagine that you are well pleased with your success and the excellent spot! I wish you the best in keeping it. You are a very colorful and fun presence in these parts, though I do know that you are not all drinking games. We, of Ozem's Vigil, truly hope to visit and peruse possibilities for trade and all manner of things.

Cheers!

Yes, not just drinking games. There is adventure to be had. ONWARDS!

The Exchange Goblin Squad Member

Anything can be a drinking game.

The Golden Flask welcomes adventurers from all over Golarion to join us in *soon-to-be-named-settlement* for battles, barter and brew. Just visiting, joining our company or looking for a great community to settle your company, we look forward to meeting you.

Did you know?

"Thais, the herald of Cayden Cailean, uses an ancient halberd which she borrowed from the Everbloom's (Milani's)arsenal."

So, what you're saying is that we owe you a halberd.

Goblin Squad Member

We know you have it, and the weed wacker we lent you last summer too!

You said you never used it anymore. Oh, and we totally filched the weed whacker. That thing is awesome. I was using a scythe before and this beats the pants off of it.

Goblin Squad Member

We need a settlement name!

And we've narrowed it down to two choices from within the active voters within The Golden Flask.

Since we like our friends and you guys are all our friends, you get to pick which of the finalists we go with.

This is a 24 hour poll... and go! Vote Here!

I enjoy Tavernhold over Caydenhold :3

Yay! Its cool to involve everyone in the voting! I voted ;)

Booo, Caydenhold FTW!

Goblin Squad Member

Well, the term "close race" doesn't necessarily apply in the case of this poll. However, we've got under 5 hours left if anyone else is interested in helping to vote.

If it were Caydenshold, I'd vote for it. It just rolls off the tongue better and gives it a sense of history. On this very field he took a stand against hordes of orcs, packs of dire wolves, bands of giants, herds of devils, pods of demons, fleets of dragons and congregations of teetotalers.

Goblin Squad Member

I actually don't have a preference. I voted for both in the guild poll.

Edit: I lied. Decided Tavernhold is better.

Unfortunately, He started the party early. By the time all of them showed up to the party, He was in a blackout and was streaking across the field (through the quad, to the gymnasium).

Your website appears not to be sending out its account-confirmation emails, in case you weren't aware.

Chaotic Good, man. I may be a liar and a thief, but at least I'm an honest one.

Well, we use a fancy gaming group hosting site, so I'll have to see what is up. I don't think it's anything that I have any control over.

Maybe Clepto stole borrowed them.

I can neither confirm nor deny these accusations.

Goblin Squad Member

Sorry I didn't get to join in on your name-vote, but my confirmation never arrived. I was going with the majority, though, so unless something shifted quite a bit...

Goblin Squad Member

Voted Caydenhold.

Goblin Squad Member

The vote is in. The Golden Flask will be founding the settlement of Tavernhold (website being built, but might as well link it anyway).

Being the original poster of this name (totally not biased though ;)) I would have been okay with making that change.

Oh well :) *gets drunk and scrawls graffiti on all the signs*

Goblin Squad Member

Congrats on the name of your Settlement! Tavernhold is quite a fitting name.

Lots of news.

First off, we've been renamed on the leaderboard to our settlement name of "Tavernhold"

Secondly, Tavernhold.com is up and running. We're using the same guild-hosting back-end as our main website, so you can use the same username/password on both sites.

Thirdly, The Dream Chasers have joined us at Tavernhold. They'll be slowly trickling in over the next few days.

Lastly, I made some tasty chili last night. It turned out pretty good. I used some Labatt Blue, because there is always beer in my chili recipes.

Goblin Squad Member

Lots of good news for you guys. Happy to see it! Also, I made some chicken wings tonight and I'm happy to report that they were excellent.

Is this an attempt to woo the Canadians?

Either way I like it.

The Canadians and the chili.

In that order.

There's no such thing as a chili recipe. There are only guiding principles. Chili can never be duplicated.

No Woo for you!

Goblin Squad Member

Hey, everyone loves Canadians. They're some of the friendliest mostly-English-speakers in the world.

Posting in another thread made me realize I have an important question that I don't believe has been answered... do we have any music?

Bring me a beer! err... Bard... Bring me a Bard!

A good tavern has to have music. We need someone to take one for the team and go bardic for our brewing.

Goblin Squad Member

If it happens that Elkhaven holds G and you don't move too far, my bard will visit on a regular basis.

Hey, Flaskers and other citizens of Tavernhold. Hop over to the website Tavernhold.com and get signed in or signed up. We have some polls and discussions up and we want to hear from more of our citizens about what we should be doing.

Cayden Cailean,

Grant me the wine to accept the things I cannot change.

Grant me the beer to laugh at my own mistakes.

And grant me the wisdom to never get my knickers in a knot, because it solves nothing and makes me walk funny.

Amen.

Goblin Squad Member

We are now part of a Roseblood Accord settlement. Tada.

[btw, giving news doesn't count as a self-bump, right?]

I just realized we turned two years old about a month ago. Yay for being one of the oldest, still existing chartered companies in the game! ;)

Great brews can be aged for 2 years ya know.
