Deathley Emissions (Su): ANy Square a bonnacon moves through Ignites as though a wall of fire had sprung up there. This if from the creatures Highly flaming elemental Offal.

Death Throws (Su): When a bonnacon Is slain the Poo in it intestines flares up and explodes Covering all squares within 50 ft with its flaming Offal. Creatures must roll fortitude saves or be nauseated for 1d6 rounds.

PYROCLASTIC BONNACON

This variant of the Bonnacon lacks the deathly emissions ability but instead of Flaming Offal can actually fire a cone of flame and ash from its rear (Its burned Poo in reality) This functions as a breath weapon useable every 3 rounds (30 ft cone 6d6 Fire damage + nauseated for a round, Dc 21 reflex for 1/2 damage and avoids nauseating effect.)

I love old medieval bestiary monsters. But what's with the Random words that you Capitalize for no apparent Reason?

P.S. Your "deathly emissions" ability needs an effective caster level, and should spell out whether it requires an action (and if so, of what type) on the part of the creature.

Deathley emission requires no action the wall just springs up wherever the creature walks. Caster level 8th seems about right sense its 8 hit dice. Though i should reword it because its not a SLA.

That's the impression I got, but the default is that (Su) abilities require a standard action to activate unless specifically stated otherwise.

Ah, the bonnacon. My daughter has an illustrated mythology encyclopedia, and the bonnacon is her favorite picture. Also, she is 5. Those crazy middle-agers sure dreamed up some weird stuff. I might steal this creature for my group if we get in the mood for some wackiness.

I dont have my bestiary here, do all creatures with the fire subtype get fire invulnerabilty/cold vulnerabilty? If so, these would be good in groups or as a pet for a another fire type creature. Another quick question and a suggestion. Is the death throes ability a (poison) effect or do you mean it to be untyped? My suggestion would be to also add a bit of fire damge (maybe 2d6 or so. Give it a reflex save for half damage and reducing the nausea to 1 round)

THat works whiteknife.

Yes! I was hoping to find some PF stats for this! Mwahahaha! Now to get this as a mount for my Cavalier from the Order of Flaming Bull-s+##! :D

Thank you!

Actually, it was mentioned by Roman historian Pliny the Elder in his Naturalis Historia somewhere around 77–79 A.D., so that places it a bit before "medieval" times.

Dang. Thought that said deadly bacon.
