Maneuver Master and Fighter BAB

Rules Questions

Okay so the Maneuver Master(Monk Archetype) gets this at first level:

Maneuver Master wrote:
The maneuver master uses his monk level in place of his base attack bonus to determine his CMB for the bonus maneuvers, though all combat maneuver checks suffer a –2 penalty when using a flurry.

A Monk gets this at 3rd level:

Monk wrote:
At 3rd level, a monk uses his monk level in place of his base attack bonus when calculating his Combat Maneuver Bonus. Base attack bonuses granted from other classes are unaffected and are added normally.

So as written it seems that Maneuver masters won't be able to add BAB from other classes until the Monk reaches 3rd level.

Or do you think this was just an oversight and should be assumed that the last line be added on the end.

Please don't quote me, but I actually think the second line is erratad in. So it just may have been missed for errata in the archetype or not gone through reprint yet

Dark Archive

There's no FAQ, so treat exactly as written.

In another words, you get an ability at level 3 that you already have at level 1.

As worded the abilities seem like they might be different.

Particularly the Maneuver Master ability doesn't say:

Quote:
Base attack bonuses granted from other classes are unaffected and are added normally.

I don't know if this sentence is required or just a clarification.

FAQ on flurry/BAB

At level 1 and 2, the Maneuver Master can use his monk level in place of his monk BAB ONLY for the bonus maneuver granted from Flurry of Maneuvers. Any other maneuvers he performs, either as a standard action, AoO, or in place of the attacks in his full-attack use normal monk BAB.

At level 3, he uses monk level in place of monk BAB for all maneuvers he performs, ever, in any circumstance.

In all cases, adding a level of fighter or whatever will grant that normal fighter BAB to anything that uses BAB.
