Do they need to be ships from the Trinity-verse? There are several books for Traveller spaceships, and also websites devoted to illustrating them - though I'd have to be at home to have the links available. Starbright something is one of them, and has a lot of quality pictures (as well as stats, which aren't so relevant to you).

Ι mentioned this verse because it seems to have a more specific hard flavor
a lot of the Traveller sketches I've seen are closer to Star Wars and that mentality in design(dont get me wrong I love that too...but I like not having the same ships for every campaign)
I think it needs a different approach?
I just found out there was a miniatures game based on the universe
maybe its rulebooks had pictures and ship maps? I will have to check it out

So if I were to start looking for supplements( I'll check the site too)
which ones would you suggest..I mean there is a myriad of Traveller editions
There is a free Alternity pdf called "Warships" start there - nothing to loose with 'free'. Never got released as a book when TSR dropped Alternity so they nicely released it as a pdf only and free!
