This question applies to any spell that lets you perform combat maneuvers and combat maneuver feats...

Do combat maneuver feats apply to spells that perform combat maneuvers?

I dont know...
So... Dot

Telekinesis:

Quote:
Combat Maneuver: Alternatively, once per round, you can use telekinesis to perform a bull rush, disarm, grapple (including pin), or trip. [b]Resolve these attempts as normal, except [b]that they don't provoke attacks of opportunity, you use your caster level in place of your Combat Maneuver Bonus, and you add your Intelligence modifier (if a wizard) or Charisma modifier (if a sorcerer) in place of your Strength or Dexterity modifier.

Improved Trip:

Quote:
In addition, you receive a +2 bonus on checks made to trip a foe.

Seems to me that the bonus applies. The spell allows you to make a trip attempt by making a check. Improved trip adds bonus on checks made to trip.

If it does, then I am including the trip feats in my wizard guide as a way to enhance toppling spell and telekinesis. And with greater trip, provoking aoos from a range might even be an optimal thing to do (maybe.) It is at least, very cool.
