I host a semi regular group We are having a guest DM so I can play this week. (Saturday) I am finding it hard to form a good idea of what I want to play. He has set the ground rules of anything on the srd is fair game and we roll 4d6 9 times for the stats.
I have 18 16 15 14 13 12 I also know I am looking for a none core race.
I tend to play range fighter or monk variation. I also have played spontaneous casters and a magus so all of these are out I want something new.
I am thinking a rouge or bard. I am also looking at psionic classes. the ninja or cavalier classes sound nice. Plz none or little multi-classes ideas. Okay I think I have give all the info I can think of to help.
Thanks to every that answers

If you don't often get the chance to play third-party classes, this might be fun to try. I have no idea whether or not it's any good, but how often do you get a pet dragon?
Ok i want to say a few things about the class but since it's only losely related to the thread i will do so in a spoiler tag in order to avoid threadjacking the thread.
First of all the class is basically the dragon riders for the Paolini books with a few minor changes (minor spellcasting instead of near high level spellcasting), so if you like the Paolini books you will most likely love this class and vice versa.
Second not a lot of people will like having as PC class someone who bonds with dragons, even if they make it rarer than the summoner is on Golarion.
Third you might need to change the world a little if that class exists.
Fourth is that this class seeems to be overpowered when i fact the class is underpowered due to two things, 1) it has no way of adding flat damage and 2) the whole focus thing messes with action economy so bad that it cripples the character except for very high level characters and then not for all kinds of dragons.
Overall i personally like the class but i think that it needs a bit of tweeking.

thread jacking away. I am rolling up a dragon rider and would love more focused feed back.

I love those books (eragon and them right)

Like or not he said and I quote anything on the srd the stuff has been played enugh that it is mostly balanced.

If I use it as a class in a major world yes. But this is a one and done throw away campaign.

I really hate the focus thing as well. You have to be riding the dragon to get an action or the dragon is two small to ride and doesn't have that much physical power. It does need tweeking. I think I would up the magic and flip it to a druid or clerical spell list thus you are a healer and dragon support.
will
