Better Character Sheets?

Advice

Hi!

Was looking for some better character sheets, preferably FREE, than those provided in teh books and downloads.

Ideally I'd like different ones for casters and melee.

I'm just finding I've run out of space for the various conditional modifiers and feats and abilities.

Just looking for better info organization, would love to see what some other players use.

Thanks!

Hero Lab, certainly not free. But is seriously the number one 3rd party roleplaying application that is currently out there

Here

My favorites by far are the "Happy Camper's" sheets. They're 3 pages, with an optional 4th, but I am a huge fan.

+1

I'd third the Happy Camper sheets, but I'd also plug Dyslexic Studio's. One page attributes, skills, and feats, one page combat-related (including space for temporary effects), one page inventory, one page class features, one page spellbook for wizards and witches. Also has options for background, party funds, boxes to tick off wand charges, and more. It's big, but pretty well organized and it has more space for extras.

Liberty's Edge

I use both of these automated spreadsheets. They are both updated frequently and are free. The printed sheets look nice.

Wow, just read over Hero Lab and that really looks nice.

Does it support choosing a monster race? In our current campaign we are all Hobgoblins. Would the program allow choosing Hobgoblin as a race and take in account that goes along with the race? Stat bonuses and skill bonuses, abilities, etc?

I have my own custom sheet that I made. It's a single front-and-back page, has a little space for conditional mods to saves and/or CMB/CMD, uses less ink than the official sheets (due to getting rid of those dumb black headers with white lettering, replacing them with the opposite), and most of the back is lines and lines and lines for either spells or feats/abilities/consumables/whatever.

It's my first attempt at a new sheet, but I've enjoyed using it so far (using it for both martial and caster types in PFS). If you PM me your email address, I'd be happy to send it to you, and any feedback would be welcome. :)

Yep, HeroLab supports "monster" races no problem.

It sure does, although I'm not sure how many of the datasets you need to purchase to have all the races available, but it is very extensive.

Ok, thanks for the replies.

I use/recommend TheOnsheet+.

Not that expensive. Has a laptop feature. It calucates effects that stack.

The designer happens to live about 30 minutes from my place and has even joined my gaming group.

Customer service is great and many people help out on the forum for any particular 3rd party classes or PrC's.

Check it out.....
