Sword and Pistol Inquisitor

Advice

I wish to make a Sword and Pistol using Evil Outsider hunter of Iomedae.

Any advice on weapons and feats to get?

It's really more of a thought exercise, if anything.

Iomedaes favoured weapon is the Longsword, however you cant wield both a Longsword and a Pistol at the same time without taking massive penalties, even with TWF.

I'm trying to work out the best way to do it.

If you want a hard level cap to build to 9th should be good and a 20 point buy.

Just make sure he or she wears a long heavy coat and a pilgrim's buckle hat.

Haha, Solomon Kane reference, I actually have the Savage Worlds of Solomon Kane RPG and it's where I have gotten the Influence, However, Solomon Kane assumes your doing said Dual Wielding constantly, whereas my near encyclopedic knowledge of Pathfinder informs me that this is infact very hard.

Just wondering if I missed some magical feat or item that would make it easier?

One way to play it would be to use quick draw instead of two weapon fighting. Fire the pistol in your primary hand, and then drop it and draw your sword. This would have been the go to move for most real world fighters of this type because of the difficulty of reloading a pistol mid-fight. You could even have a few pistols loaded on your person so that you could pull it off more than once per fight (although that would get really expensive at low level).

Note that two-weapon fighting penalties only apply if you're attacking with both weapons in the same round. If you're only attacking with the sword or the gun in one round, whichever hand you're using is your "primary"; unless you attack with both hands in the same round, you don't have an "off-hand".
