Are there any that already exist in the World of Golarion?
For example a Magic School of X that gives you a spell focus feat but takes X time and Y gold, plus the connections to get in the school the first place.
Or a Galitoiral arena that gives you training in using an Exotic Weapon like a Net after taking X time and Y gold.
You get the idea.

I'm not aware of any hard and fast rules of a place like this in Pathfinder but it's certainly a workable idea, however you must be very careful when handing such rewards. Any min/maxer that sees such a set up as trade in X time and Y gold to gain a feat or other special ability will be drooling over the possibilities, so you'll want to set some strong rules up ahead of time.
These could be seen as specialized training, which I like the concept for, I'm just saying you're going to want to put some tight reigns on any system like this you create.

Magic of Golarion has boons for going to certain schools of magic. These are also meant I believe to be used as guidelines for creating your own. I do not think they used feats but i could see gaining one or two throughout their progression as being reasonable and not out of control.
The thing is once this occurs you would pretty much want to have all classes given this option, like your gladiatorial school with trident example, so it would be reasonably fair.
I would have fun creating those schools for players in a game but i would also worry about that becoming the expected norm along with the subsequent boring factor. At which point its just another way to get feats with gold or game time.
I was inspired by this when playing though a recent AP that gave the players a Boon after going though a book.
Seems to me that this would be a nice Companion to have in the World of Golarion.
