Barbarians and the rage spell

Rules Questions

Does a barbarian under the effects of a rage spell gain the benefits of her rage powers? I'm pretty sure she can, just wanting to double check to see if it has been noted otherwise anywhere.

Relavent text:

Barbarian - "...A barbarian gains the benefits of rage powers only while raging..."

Rage - "...The effect is otherwise identical with a barbarian's rage except that..."

Yes you can, keep in mind the effects are similar and do NOT stack.

Thank you for confirming that for me.

So if I am understanding you correctly you are saying a Barbarian under the influence of a RAGE SPELL can access all his or her Rage Powers like, increased DR, Intimidating Glare, Beast Totems, etc??

That does not seem correct to me.

Dark Archive

No, it works. The rage spell is identical to a barbarian's rage except as noted in the spell description - and the spell description makes no mention of the denial of rage power access.
