Grand Lodge 4/5

Just to highlight what Tracy said above, for all those folks looking to obtain an alternate race boon, the GM boon will allow the GM to create a new character from one of the following races: Aasimars, dhampir, ifrit, kitsune, nagaji, oread, sylph, tengu, tiefling, undine, or wayang. These will be available for GMs at both Scotty's and Arsenal.

Please contact Tracy directly if you wish to GM. I know she still has a few GM spots available.

I'm still deciding on what the player boon will be.

Additionally, there will be Paizo product support for both locations for players.

I will also try to stop in at both locations to say hi to all players and GMs between setting up the PFS Gaming Hall and the Venture-Captain dinner. Gen Con is going to be awesome and I can't think of a better way to kick start the best gaming con in North America by attending pre Gen Con PFS at Scotty's and/or the Asenal game store. I also believe approximately 10-12 VCs and VLs will be at both these locations playing, GMing or both. Come on out and put a face to a name.

Awesome news, sir!! Thanks so much for adding to the great time at Scotty's and Arsenal before GenCon. Can't wait to attend and have a seriously good GenCon!!

I seem to keep saying this lately, but Man I wish I was going to Gen Con!

Dan, on Wednesday, sneak by Eric's house and kidnap him. He might struggle, but he'll thank you later ;-)

Hmmm...I could do that. Though, we need to figure out logistics before we do. Like, where do we stuff him overnight when he's not joygasming at Gencon?

If someone is willing to run Rats of the Round Mountain Part 2 in a later slot, I'll run part one in the morning slot.

I could as well, but I don't see the point of prepping for players who will be perma-dead after they play part 1. :P

No worries, Kyle is turning into an ol' softie. Besides, he is saving all of his devious, PC killing mojo for Joe so he can toy with him, torture him slowly, and then obliterate him completely. :-)

This.

Oh, well if that's the case. I am open to requests if Tracy would rather run something else. I was kind of up in the air and picked my latest favorite scenario. So, whatever is good by me.

I'll take Rats so you can stick with your favorite! I'd rather everyone runs something that takes minimal prep and that they can just have fun with before the con.

Silver Crusade 5/5

Minimal prep...HA! I'm gonna see if I can 3d maps for it done by Gencon! Or at least on one encounter in particular.

Minimal prep? Is it sad that I spent several hours prepping for my first run through of The Sundered Path?

Silver Crusade 5/5

Maybe minimal prep is a relative term to the audience. Joe Shmoe the Lazy GM, minimal prep means winging the whole thing, but to Anal Retentive 5-star GM means you spent a year in China to get a better feel for your Minkai flavored adventure.

Lol .. 3-D sounds awesome .. word of warning tho .. remember you are going to be hoofing it around the area ... you are going to have to carry that 3-D terrain alllllll over hell and creation

I think scottys is about a 5 block walk to the convention center, which is usually about another 4 blocks from the hotels ... so be prepared to be tired of your terrain

Silver Crusade 5/5

I've discovered Papercraft(stores flat, and is super light), and I would only have 3D for this one session...probably.

Dan, best be careful you don't get a reputation that you'd rue having to live up to.

Player 1: "Oooh, I unnderstan' we got famed VC Dan Luckett at our table."
Player 2: "Bully good, then! Word is, he has exceptional terrains all blocked out in 3-D."
Player 1: "Aye, that 'e does. I seen 'im yesterday, all decked out with a great set o' walls an' some spectacular elevated areas."
Player 3: "Sounds great. I admit, I'd grown complacent and world-weary of Pathfinder Society Organized Play, but the promise of exciting terrain has renewed my enthusiasm for the hobby and perhaps even given my life more meaning."
Player 4, in an adorable little pink dress: "Pretty 3-D maps? Yaaay!"

DAN LUCKETT enters R and sits at the table. He carries a bag of books.

Dan Luckett: "Good morning, gents."
Player 2: "What's this, then? No terrain for us?
Player 1: "Keenly disappointed, that's what I am. Keenly."
Player 4, lips trembling: "Why don't you love us, Mr. Luckett?"

5/5

That's happened to me. "What? No amazingly detailed maps?!"

I think I did that to you...but mostly just to give you a hard time. I just expect something I can understand, even if it is just simple squiggly lines.

With Doug is semi-retirement, you can't poach his maps anymore ;-)

I know, right?!

Doug is more of a permanent retirement, whereas I've been semi-retired (retarded?). The good news is that the desire is back, but the bad news is that my stable predictable life has been thrown in deepest depths of the Plane of Chaos for the past 7 months. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, but it's probably 3-6 months away. :(

Running Rebel's Ransom at Gen Con will be the highlight of my entire convention. I love that scenario. Now all I need is players.

It's my favorite scenario as a player, the closest I ever came to death..until last Thursday.

5/5

Yes, you came very close last Thursday. Close enough to even taste it. No, wait, that was the Gug tasting you! NOM NOM NOM!

Silver Crusade 5/5

So Kyle, do you want to run Rats at 9am if I run Rats 2 at 1pm? Working on finalizing this schedule for prize support...

5/5

If you think we'll get players, absolutely. Rats of Indianapolis!

Dark Archive 2/5

I don't know how long it will take me to get to my hotel from the airport using Indy Green, but I might be able to make 1pm events. I'm at the Courtyard and I should land at 11:51 am.

I just plan to follow Kyle around and make him kill me. Unfortunately, I think my character for his events are my weakest ones defensively.

EDIT: Hmm, I've actually played all of the 1-5 pm events, so maybe I should GM something...but I can't be sure I'll be able to make it by 1pm...dilemmas...

I'm in the same boat as you in terms of timing--flight is expected at noon on the dot.

I'm also in the same boat in terms of having played everything that isn't too full to take two players (coming with my gf), but I'd be happy to GM something if you guys could use any GMs, with the same timing caveats for the 1PM. Could also GM something at 7 easily.

I say Kyle is such a pushover. He had his chance and failed. He could have robbed everybody else blind but decided not to. He talks the big talk, but in the end he's just a big Care Baird.

Silver Crusade 5/5

I am updating the warhorn right now, and I am pretty sure at this point I am full on GMs and tables. Just need players!

Silver Crusade 5/5

Okay, both warhorns are finalized at this point.

I'm going to try to talk Bob into running Rats 2 instead of Citadel. You can be a little killing team.

Lord help the players if they are in the last slot .. with Bob GMing they'll be still be playing the next morning when the real convention starts

5/5

I'd run Rats 2, but I'm not passing up the opportunity to play at Eric's table! :)

Silver Crusade 5/5

I have no problem running it, but since we people aren't registering for Citadel, that might be an easy one to switch Bob over to.

Ah too bad, too bad. Just my bad luck that I've played the PM set then (I actually would have been able to play five of the 9AM, 10AM, and 11AM games if I was there at those times). Maybe next year then. I'll be able to get over there if a GM is missing or extra players show up.

My cousin and I just signed up for rats I & II. I couldn't resist since Bob might be runnning part II. He's almost managed to kill me twice, and then had to strip me of my paladin powers, but I'm always ready for a challenge!

And, of course, at least there will be beverages to be had since Bob's average scenario times Run 6-8 hours :)

In all fairness, Bob's one of the best GMs I've played with.

I hope this is fair play, but I'm going to plug my game at the Arsenal.

I'm running "From Shore to Sea", one of the best modules Paizo has ever published -- and that's saying a lot, of course. It runs 11 hours, from 11 o'clock till 10 in the evening, and I can guarantee that players will never feel the same about landing a ship along the shoreline of the diabolical empire of Cheliax.

5/5

I agree from Shore to Sea is a great mod. I am not sure who will have more fun. Chris or his players.

Dark Archive 1/5

I am having a dilemma as my check in time for my hotel is not until 3pm yet the City of Strangers Part. 2 is a story I would like to finish. I just do not want to take needed gaming space at Arsenal with my luggage since the game starts @ 2pm and does not finish until 6pm.

Grand Lodge 4/5 5/55/5 ***

Okay, so there seems to be a lack of interest for Citadel of Flame. Too bad, its one of my favorite scenarios. But in the interest of serving the community, no Kyle, not on a platter ;-), I will volunteer to run Rats II instead. And since I have the VC meeting to attend, we won't run long...well, not too long ;-)

Hey, not a problem now, I'll have a room to share. :D My wish was granted by the Great and Powerful Wizard of Brock!

A few of the rooms downstairs are fairly large and a suitcase or 2 would probably not get in the way, as long as you didn't mind storing them in a room that you might not be playing in.

Sovereign Court

I am leery of signing up on Warhorn for any sessions as of now, but am interested. We're riding down with someone else and I don't know his inclinations towards a PFS game.

Sovereign Court 4/5 *

I am excited. This will be my first time getting to play at Scotty's. Im doing the 11pm-3am Immortal Conundrum. If I didnt have TD training I would be getting in on a earlier game. Gotta get checked in as soon as possible. :)

Dark Archive 3/5

Tracy,

What "slots" need a GM still for either location? I will be in town Wed and may have an afternoon free. I don't follow the message-boards very much so I'm late, but if you still need someone...let me know plz.

Also, if anyone's doing any hotel gaming. I'm looking for #4-01 to play before I have to "eat" in on Sunday, if we can't Slot 0 in here.
