I loved you once, Toz. ignites beam saberHe's not wrong, you know. Points at Cowboy Bebop as an example.
In other news, I finally watched (Season? Volume? Book?... one...) Space Dandy.
It was pretty amazing......
Baby.

Apropos of not a lot, but non-tangentially related to Anime...
And speaking of classrooms, magical girls, and the like...
Monday, we were down half our players for our normal PF game, and so the GM said "Jim, bring your TFOS stuff."
So I did. And we now have a "we're missing players" game that includes a teenaged clone of Brock Sampson, a four-armed space cat who is (figuratively) the Teacher's Pet, and my character - the daughter of an extra-dimensional Good Witch and a Car Salesman, Ruby Schlippert.
I had to do it. I rolled Fly, Zap, and Magical Girl as powers. I regret nothing.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to come up with those Magical Girl "You will be punished for your wrongdoings!" monologues on the fly? Do you? DO YOU?!?

The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan is adorable.
It looks rather cute but I hope they do something more with it than what they have shown so far. If there is no tie to the other Haruhi stuff it will be entirely pointless to have the names it has. If this turns out to be a standard 'hope senpai will notice me' story where the characters happen to be named after and look like characters from another story, I'll feel cheated.
Ore Monogatari is the only one I've tried so far that I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking with. The Nisekoi crossover episode had me pretty convinced already.

What is TFOS?
Teenagers From Outer Space, the first Comedic Anime roleplaying game, and a fantastic bit of fun all around.

Lets see now
Re-Kan - kind of nice little story about a girl who can see ghosts and her friends at school. It's nice but not really remarkable in the first episode.
My Love Story - Oh man, if you like romance stories this is a winner. Big lovable gorilla of a guy, so used to sitting in the friend zone he can't even recognize when a girl is actually crushing on him. People really should check it out.

Rewatched Bleach. Pretty decent without the fillers. Fights are awesome.
How do you avoid the fillers? Is there a list of filler episodes somewhere?
I enjoyed season 1, and was psyched for season 2 by the time I got around to watching it. But the way that season 2 starts everything back at square one -- both in terms of characters losing most or all of their butt-kicking power, and in terms of being utterly clueless and powerless against the next big threat (bounts) -- killed my interest after five or so episodes.
Kind of like playing through a very tough 1-10 campaign with a hard-won victory at the climax, and then the DM saying "Does everyone have their old 1st-level CSs? Good! Trash your current ones, and bring the old ones next weekend..."

Looks like there are a couple places that list them.

Episode 2 of Arslan Senki continues on that awesome start made by the previous one. My only issue with the series thus far is the opening, or, more to the point, the opening song. It's not quite what I would have liked and I'm not sure that UVERworld would have been my final choice to do it.
That aside, I can't wait for episode 3, The Knight in Black. Daryun was a legitimate bada$$ in the OVAs, so I want to see if that remains consistent in the TV series.

Finally watched the 1st season of Psycho-Pass. Loved it. Can't wait to start the second season.
I will declare a personal holiday when it does.
Sorta Spoiler:

It seems that there are only 11 episodes for season 2 of Psycho-Pass. I'm trying to decide if I should wait and see if more are coming or if that's all they're doing for season 2.
Meanwhile, Arslan Senki episode 3 introduced Silvermask, Elam, and Narsus. Still can't wait for Falangies to be introduced (mostly because Maaya Sakamoto will be brought in to voice her, but also because Falangies is a bada$$ as well).

I really wanted the Gundam Unicorn OVAs on blu-ray but they are ridiculously expensive (episode 7 is listed for over $200 bucks on Amazon). I bought the DVDs instead (a little over $70 for the whole series) and the picture quality is amazing.
Rightstuf is advertising a preorder of Turn-A Gundam. Has anyone seen this and have an opinion on it? My only knowledge of it is from the Mobile Suit Gundam Dynasty game.

turn a is...weird. very weird. It attempts to link all gundam-and I do mean ALL, everything except wing I think- into a single reality or closely linked realities. That and the art and the music....it was very odd.

Saw Berserk 1, and wow! Was not expecting a feature-length experience, and I was not expecting rated R material.
I'm not complaining though, and I hope Netflix gets more episodes soon!
Berserk is one of the best Sword and Sorcery comics out there, it's an amazing story but yeah, it is seriously brutal at times. Escpecially after the Eclipse
I haven't watched the movies, found the CG a little off putting, but there was an old Anime version of it for TV that I saw way back when, which is what got me interested in the comics. Own over 30 volumes now and waiting for the next one. Dark Horse comics is the one releasing it in North America, should be able to find it in any comic store (usually plastic wrapped)

I honestly think Berserk may be the best manga I have ever read.

Arslan Senki #4 was pretty good. For those who watched the original OVAs, this part of the story is pretty much the same dealing with Arlsan and Daryun meeting up to recruit Narsus into their party. Though the handling of Narsus' art is a little different. In the OVA, you were led to believe that it's awfulness was more a difference of the beholder's eye. In the TV series, Arlsan's reaction upon seeing one of his works leaves little doubt as to what's up and I found it genuinely funny.
Next week's episode is usually where I make the decision to stay or go watch something else. As it stands right now, though, unless something comes out in this upcoming episode to just totally turn me off to continued viewings, I think it's pretty clear that I'll be sticking around.
