Stereotypes are just oh so convenient, being a sort of shorthand generalization that encompasses so much in so little space. Work as a television writer? Need to instantly identify a throwaway character as a bad guy? Toss in the shaven-headed, tattooed Hispanic male wearing a white undershirt and baggy pants....
Word regarding the first post - with regards to the sond - I'd love to see a take on the domain that takes RSP's new conditions for intoxication from Barroom Brawls into account. Btw., it's always neat to read your posts! :)
The telekinetic monk combines martial arts with psychokinetic power. He can launch flurries of telekinetic blows at range and develops an array of psionic and psi-like abilities as he gains experience.
The dragon warrior’s dedication to ancient practices rooted in martial dragon cults grants him a small portion of draconic power. When a character gains a level as a dragon warrior, he must select one of the chromatic or metallic dragon types....
As I blogged about a couple or so days ago, my son Giant Boy and I decided to add some survival horror to Go Fer Yer Gun! (which is published by Beyond Belief Games)....
Giant Boy and I are heading up to the Dallas/Fort Worth area near the end of July for Texicon 2012. I’m running Metro Gnomes, a post-apocalyptic survival horror adventure using Dyson Logos’s inspired Geodesic Gnomes RPG....
Enough game mechanics about horror suvival in GFYG!. Well, at least for now. I need to look at background information. Just like a tell my students, “When you do history, start with the five double-yous and the aitch.” Works for 5th graders. I don’t see why it won’t work here....
Several grotesque monsters swarm over the body. Each appears to be an oversized brain with a single tentacle and snail-like eyestalks. They scurry about on spindly, insect-like legs.
Well, Texicon 2012 is almost here. Giant Boy and I are heading up to the Dallas/Fort Worth area this Friday. At the convention, I’m running Dyson Logos’s Geodesic Gnomes and a Go Fer Yer Gun!/Call of Cthulhu mash-up....
Well, Texicon 2012 has come and gone, and Giant Boy and I rest comfortably at home once more. So, you wonder, how was the convention? Well, let me tell you, breaking things down in Leone-esque categories....
Several weeks ago, I read a thread on the Paizo messageboards about the scent extraordinary ability. It was started by a poster confused by the assertion that scent isn’t some sort of automatic enemy detection power that operates in a 30-foot radius....
Lately, my regularly scheduled writing for Pathfinder has languished, in part because I've been working on material for the wonderful OSR sci-fi game Stars Without Number. For example:
Things've been a bit slow on the writing front lately, but I did get this brief blogpost up: About Those Dragons.
As I said on your site, I like SWN and what you are doing with it. This looks interesting. Tiamat as a dragon packing the firepower of a starship is just a fun thought.
Thanks for continuing to post updates here. I spend more time on the Paizo boards than other sites and it reminds me to check in on what you're doing. Interesting stuff btw :)
Not a problem, R_Chance. I hope to get the playtest version of Tiamat's Throne out by the end of February 2013. Meanwhile, it seems as if my various blog updates posted here and other places is slowly building up some interest.
Interesting, but I suspect it will take an experienced GM to function well and / or a good group of players who won't push it too far. An inexperienced GM or a pushy player (or players) and you'd have a train wreck on your hands. Or at least a messed up game :) Probably a good idea to make this optional unless / until the GM and players are ready for it.
