"How Pissed am I?" OR "Do I splash Barbarian on my Oracle?"

Advice

Hey all.

So I currently have a level 1 Oracle of Battle.

This is for PFS so RAW is king.

Anyway you can view the character Here

For those that don't want to I will give the basics.

Half-Orc (Racial to get Flail and heavy Flail prof)

Dual Cursed Oracle of Battle.

Haunted curse (Never Improves)

Lame Curse (Improves as normal)

My Revelation is Misfortune (so good it's worth 2 curses)

My Feat was extra revelation Suprising Charge (I thought the extra move would help, it did)

I am wearing Med armor so currently my speed is 15

I am thinking of splashing Barbarian at 2nd for rage and fast movement.

Doing so would be good as at 6th character level (oracle 5, barb 1) I would be immune to fatigue. And the movement will be helpful as well.

The Downside to doing so is that even with the +10 speed that will only put me at 20. (40 base- 10 lame- 10 armor)

If I do splash barbarian there are a few questions....

I can go Oracle 1/Barbarian 1/Oracle 3/Barbarian 1

That will (eventually) put me at level 6, immune to fatigue with 1 rage power.

But what?

Are any of the level 2 RP good for rage cycling?

Also if I do splash Barb I will have to take Raging vitality? this is a question.

Any ideas/help/saying I suck, is appreciated.

Thanks.

Well do you want to be a barbarian with a little spellcasting? or do you want to be a sencondary melee char with full casting?

Your 18 str 14 con and 14 cha suggest you want to be angry!
take a look at the oracle spelllist - then disregard any offensive spell that offers a save (until you are lvl 12). What you have left is buff spells and utility/heal.

The loss of 5 casterlevels means your not a "real" caster anymore. BUT you are a barbarian that happens to know a few spells (and can use divine scrolls/wands).
If you can "give up" the optimized full caster and instead be "that angry guy, that hits things" go for it.
Also consider your group. How many other melee chars are you playing with? If you already have two others - perhaps the group have more need of an enabler oracle - that hits things as la secondary role.
Does the group have a other divine caster? If so go for rage prophet (just because I wanted to - but my group already had 2 other mele chars) :-)

Consider being a Druken Brute you get to drink alkohol, and extend your rage, since rage prophet doesn't give more rage rounds (as far as i can see). 8 round seems like to little - drunken brute gives more - and later you can expend spellslots (seems expensive). - but then you shouldn't be haunted!

Armored Hulk - gives you heavy armor prof. so you don't have to use a feat for it (but will cost you movement).

rage powers (yes your feats should be used on extra rage/extra revalation)- Spirit Totem, Lesser, and Spirit Totem would be fitting with the haunted curse - but not the most optimized choise...

Strengh surge with maneuver mastery revalation could make you king of tripping.

You could also go for natural attacks - animal fury + Beast totem line - natural attacks are quite nice i pathfinder...

As for barbarian lvls vs Oracle levels - I would alway go barbarian2/oracle 4 - spells are better than 1 rage power.

And finally - I'm not sure if "A rage prophet’s class level stacks with barbarian levels for determining the effect of his rage powers" means you qualify for say Beast Totem, Greater with Barbarian2/Oracle4/Rage prohpet 8 - ask your GM - if you don't: stick with Oracle. (I would allow it as a GM - but that would be a houserule).

EDIT: oh I forgot about "This is for PFS so RAW is king." - well see if there is a ruling that says you qualify - if there isn't: Oracle!

Ask Andrew Christian about Bbauzh, his half-orc Barbarian/Oracle/Rage Prophet. I don't know the build, but he seems to be doing pretty well.
