Silver Crusade

I have played a cleric of the animal/plant domain and she is now level 4 . My long term goal was to split class at level 5 into a sorcerer of the sylvan bloodline/?? as a crossblooded sorcerer. My question is two fold. I Took sylvan because my animal pet will still advance as I do in level with either class so I assume by the reading of the sylvan bloodline. I would like some advice on what other bloodline goes well with it from a roleplaying aspect. My concept is that she was raised in the wild and doesnt know much in the way of history/religion but is good at geography and dungeoneering/natue knowledge. She has lived in the wild all her life and doesnt know common ( yes I know you get it automatically but I CHOOSE NOT TO KNOW IT ). She woships gozrah so I want her bloodline to be tied to that her fey type magical nature. She actually believes she is a new found fey race born of the wild . The plant domain from cleric allows her to turn her arms into wood as well as her fists so the theme works well so far but am wanting to add a magic flavor hence the split into sorcerer. Any advice is aways welcome .

I thought it would be cool to do a Fey/Verdant crossblooded sorcerer, or to mix up their wildblooded counterparts. You can literally "plant" yourself in the ground from the Verdant bloodline, turn invisible from the Fey bloodline, and start casting entangle and enchantment spells. I know you have the plant domain already, but Verdant has different plant related bonuses. Their domain and bonus spells are almost identical, though. I guess that's good since you would be able to cast the ones you know more than once per day.

One thing, though. Your animal companion from Sylvan relies on your sorcerer level only. If you multiclass, I think it will hurt either class too much and not really be worth it. Especially since you're mixing arcane with divine casting. This will screw with armor you can wear, too, due to arcane spell failure. Clerics don't have to worry about that.

So then my animal companion wouldn't advance as I do in levels of sorcerer if I took the fey/sylvan bloodline with my cleric of the animal / plant domain. So if I was level 5 cleric/5 sorcerer the animal companion wouldn't be level 10 ? I do have the boon companion feat as well

Forgive me. I forgot to research that a cleric with the animal domain gets an animal companion at 4th level. If the sorcerer and cleric abilities function exactly as the druid's ability, then I am wrong. They both stack with each other, and therefore you would have an 8th level animal companion with this suggested build. This is including the boon companion feat. Only two levels behind a druid doesn't seen so bad.

Any thoughts on the syvlan/verdant crossblooded sorcerer? Verdant has some nice defensive capabilities, such as a natural armor boost when you cast personal spells. Photosynthesis is a nice ability (basically a free ring of sustenance, plus resistances), and probably better than sylvan's woodland stride. Also, if you aren't a fan of enchantment spells, then you can replace the bonus spells with more plant-themed ones. You would have entangle coming at you from so many places, though. At least it's a decent spell.

I agree that the Sylvan/Verdant bloodline would mesh best with this character concept. There are a couple others that will work, too, depending on the flavor you like. The Starsoul and Stormborn bloodlines both have heavy elemental aspects connected to nature. Neither has tie to plants that Verdant or Sylvan does, and Sylvan is the one that advances your animal companion. So, it looks like the Crossblooded Fey/Sylvan is the one you want.
