I imagine the last one is the biggest hurdle.

Actually finding 6 GMs to buy the 6 Copies I don't need is the biggest hurdle.

Got passed the first Hurdle in moving up my Pledge to the $3000 level (Not getting kicked out of the Air Force), just 2 more to go, figuring out what to do with 8 Copies of everything :|, and the hard one, convincing the wife... ;)

*sigh* I remember the days of signing bonuses. I don't think that I'll be eligible for a signing bonus when my next enlistment comes up. Hopefully my rank will be too high (I need to find a MSgt slot in my guard unit).

If I hadn't already pledged, I would have expressed interest in one of those extra books, but I'm already in as deep as I can afford. If you feel like giving one away, I know someone who'll get use out of it, but he can't afford to pledge.

Oh I did not reenlist, I was worried about my PT Test, which I did fine at.

I can afford this because of the Money my Wife makes, not the pittling I get for being an E-5. ;)

I've been thinking about one of the 3,000 pledges as well (going to PaizoCon). But like yourself, I wouldn't know what to do with all the additonal copies of the book.

Even my DM wouldn't be able to afford his copy if I wanted to sell it to him (he's pretty frugal and doesn't have much money).

Also, I debate on whether I can afford it. I have the money, but don't know if I want to spend it. Especially since I'll most likely be going to Gen Con, as well.

If I move my level up I plan to hold on to the extra books and will likely sell them off when there are worth $300.00 or more or maybe even wait long enough for them to be worth more. Signed and number... Yeah Baby.

I have a questions about that. Do the lower numbers go to those who contributed at the highest levels?

What money amount are you debating on moving up to, Shem?

I'd very much like to second that. The reprints of "classics" is great, but I'd also be very keen to see lots of new stuff and a campaign setting would be fantastic.

(Particularly if it's for Swords and Wizardry).

Campaign Setting is next on my "to-do" list after Sword of Air. And it'll be for PF and S&W both (like almost all of our products). And, heck yeah, a full-color poster map!

More information on that after the North Texas RPG Con (June 7-10) where FGG will be making a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT.

NICE! I cant wait to get my hands on that. Wizard's Amulet, Freya, Abysthor and Demons & Devils (and RA, duh) were my favorites.

And I was thinking Sword of Air would be major announcement...

Sword of Air is a major announcement, but not THE major announcement.

...Waiting patiently for the major announcement for those who cant make it to Texas...

I know that with Slumbering Tsar, lower numbers went to the people who subscribed first. This statement is based on statements made by FGG staff here on the boards.

The following is wild speculation on my part alone and not based on anything that I have read posted from anyone at Frog God Games: Assuming that the model followed with Slumbering Tsar is repeated, the people who supported the Kickstarter first will get the lower numbers (with the lowest numbers reserved for FGG staff).

PS: The dice look awesome, so does the T-Shirt. I'm looking forward to all the cool swag that has been announced!!

For your convenience, here is a link to see what each pledge level recieves in the way of swag.

I may be wrong, but I dont think we have any plan on the distribution of the numbered copies, at least not yet.

In that case, may I suggest that Rappan Athuk #1 would look really nice on my bookshelf...

Frog God Games

Getting rid of extra books--

lest ye forget--you also get bonus copies of the (very, very rare) module 7B. I am betting $500 on Ebay within 2 years on a complete RA set (and I can't sel them that way). Heck Reloaded was 2x cover befoire it released.

And you are selling it for $500 on your page!

Frog God Games

lol; that's because I don't want to sell them very bad:)

Besides--I need some for the kickstarter--note mine are also shrink (and may still have golden tickets?)--Amazon has several at <$300--but all have been opened (e.g. no golden tickets)

You lost me there.... Golden Tickets?

Dragnmoon wrote:

Rappan Athuk Reloaded was released with "Golden Tickets", special inserted tickets (think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)that gave you cool stuff: free NG product, etc. Not all of them have been claimed.

SG

Frog God Games

Rappan Athuk Reloaded had 5 golden tickets out of 1000 boxes--various prizes including 1 that was free product for life. Only one has been found-uniquely signed "Orcus and Tsathogga" instead of "Bill and Clark". The other 4 are still out there in a (probably) unopened copy.

FGG will honor golden tickets from Necromancer. One was free pdfs for life, one was free books for life, one was a trip to a Con (all expenses paid except airfare) and the last I forget wgat I wrote on the ticket (its been 8 years).

Dragnmoon wrote:

Seven of them were packaged with Golden Tickets in them. If you find a golden ticket, you get a free tour of this candy factory that has been mysteriously shut up for years, yet still producing and shipping out candy.

-Aaron

edit: Ninja'd by Skeeter Green and Bill. My answer was once again wild speculation.

Ahhh Got ya..

I recently picked up a secondhand Rappan Athuk Reloaded (#20) and was going to say I don't remember a golden ticket, just a signed card by you and Clark.

That is cool, maybe one day they will be found!

One of those golden tickets should have been good for having Clark and Bill sing the golden ticket song for whomever presented it to them.

Well you made it folks here is the current pledge amount: $121,887. There are still 20 days left. Hey Bill better start thinking up another goal.

Glad to see some more of the higher tier pledges going. :)

Those leather books are enticing..

Holy Moley it was at $112K (mas or menos) when I got home this afternoon. Very nice! I vote for a 6' Orcus plushie for pledgers of 250$+ if we hit 140K. Although, my wife might get a little freaked out with it standing in the corner of the bedroom, watching....always watching...

It's not watching.

It's sleeping... and waiting....

Spoiler:
I believe that reference is more appropriate for Slumbering Tsar, but then again I've never read anything from any of the previous editions of RA.

Level 7B for $100 pledges? :D (yeah, I doubt it - but it's worth the effort!) How 'bout the GM screen?

OK, being serious now: what is The Windfall PDF? I looked through the FAQ and other info, but I must have missed it because I didn't see anything about it.

Frog God Games

Yeah, I was just matching Orcus up to Chtulhu ;)

Scarab Sages

Windfall is basically a coupon book for players.

Chuck:
Well, there is that, but given that I just received Tsar it's what's on my mind right now - especially The Sleeper Below (hence the spoiler tag).

Gotcha. I had the full "Libram of Fortunate Happenstance" name in mind, not "Windfall".

I'd like to take the time to thank all of those persons who have pledged into our Rappan Athuk Kickstarter. The Frog God and his minion Blonde Frog (aka Soulstealer Frog) are even now attempting to come up with yet another stretch goal. We have blown past all others screamingly fast. We love you guys!

I hope I can speak for the rest of us when I say if we didn't love the products we have seen come out of Frog God Games and the quality, the pledge goals might not have been met. Quality products creates loyal customers.

Just my 2 cp.

Hope I didn't offend anyone by speaking out of turn.

If the next stretch goal is met, can the $100 folks get the PDF of the GM screen?

We love you too...

so happy that we made the 120k mark!!! grats!!!

It's a fantastic achievement that, as silverhair2008 said, is as much a reflection of the esteem in which Frog God is held as anything else.

Great material = great support!

Keep on keeping on!

I'm still debating on upping my pledge to $3000. I've never been to PaizoCon and would like to try it, it's just such a large chunk of change. Also, wouldn't know what to do with 8 books.

If I wasn't already in for a few of my own, I would say:

GIVE THEM TO ME !

I'll second Kthulu, you can give them to me. I have gaming friends who would enjoy them. I'm already handing off an extra copy of The Black Monastery to one of my players who is interested in GMing. I would find it amusing to break him with a free copy of Rappan Athuk!

Heh.

Yeah, finding people to give the books to wouldn’t be hard. If I wanted to do that, I’d just bring them to GenCon and pass them out. I was actually talking about doing something with them where I’d get some compensation. I’d probably give one to DM as a Christmas gift, or something along those lines.

Guess I could ebay some of them down the road, but don’t really like dealing with the hassle of selling items online.

Decisions. Decisions.

Dark Archive

Use them as a foundation to build a megadungeon with them!!!!

If history is any record (who follows history?? :-) ), then you could more then make up for your initial investment by selling the books later.

Especially if you get all the Frogs to sign it, which Im sure we would be happy to do if you're with us all weekend...

SG

PS Not to tempt too much....

Oh, if I decided to bump my pledge to $3000, and paid airfare to all the way to Washington (I’m in the Chicago area), and since lodging and food is free, then you can bet I would be there all weekend.

I know it doesn’t say so, but could one of the perks be a ticket to the banquet? :)

You wouldn’t even have to pay for it, just an ‘assurance’ I could buy one. From what I understand, they sell out fast and can be hard to get a hold of.

I thought they were already Signed?

I have to figure out the same thing.

I will have 4 extra Genuine Leather Cover editions and 4 extra faux-leather editions I will need to figure out what to do with. Oh and all the extra other stuff.

Ebay may be useful.

I’m guessing the books will be signed like Tsar, where the main author/designer (Greg) and Bill signed.

I’m not sure who the main author for RA (sorry!), but will probably only be the main author and Bill again. I think Skeeter was saying that ‘all’ of FGG would sign the books if I showed up at Paizo Con with them.

But wow, the books would need their own suitcase!

Scarab Sages

They are signed but not by everyone. Certainly by Bill.

Rappan Athuk is Bill's baby, IIRC.

Rappan Athuk will be signed by Bill. Therefore, books signed by everyone either gain value because they are signed by the whole company, or lose value because they are signed by me. Depends how you look at it 8-)

SG

PS Hobbun, if you pledge at $3k, Ill buy your banquet ticket. No prob.
