I see my fellow ranters have been covering fairly important topics lately. Well, today that will change. It's time to rant about highway etiquette. You know how some [expletive deleted] morons will actually swerve closer to the white line when you're walking along the side of the road? That sort of thing is pretty lame, but what's even more insane is when they cross the yellow line while there's opposing traffic. I get that you're worried about your driving ability enough that you can't drive past a pedestrian without thinking you're going to send them flying fifty feet, but crossing the yellow line is incredibly stupid. That reminds me of the [expletive deleted] who think it's okay to pass with oncoming traffic just because they have a fast car. It is really stupid. But even those guys are better than the bicyclists who don't stop when people are crossing crosswalks or cross the double stripes or speed through stop signs. I may have ranted about them before. Actually I was trying to do a stupid topic but it didn't really work out that way. Definitely did not intend to insult people's topic choices. There was another point in here about those people who pull over to talk on their cell phones like right in front of you but I forgot it.

Shadow Lodge

I could do a rant about how the "no bikes on sidewalks" laws are stupid and having bikes try to compete in the roads like they're actual vehicles (WHICH THEY ARE NOT) is even more stupid and probably causes more accidents than it helps, but I really don't have the energy for more than that little mini-rant.

Andoran

I think if bikes are supposed to be treated as cars then car people should treat bikes as cars. They need to stop getting angry when bikes occupy the center of the lane. They need to stop motioning bicyclists to go at a four-way stop. They need to stop getting angry when bicyclists use left-turn lanes! And they should stop revving their engines right when they pass (and the bicyclist is in the proper bike lane).

I am actually pretty tired of bicyclists on campus because they totally ignore the sidewalk laws and people have gotten run over. Maybe if you have a class a quarter mile away then you should use a bike but a lot of the time people are just unlocking, crossing the street, and locking back up. Some people don't lock their wheels (because it takes a while?) and those things are getting stolen.

At least at my school, no-sidewalk enforcement would be legit.

Shadow Lodge

Bikes should not be treated as cars unless they can go the speed limit. As such they should be somewhere they aren't impeding traffic. Like the sidewalk.

End of line.

If there is a bike path, that is, a path specifically for bikes, then bikes do not belong in the middle of the road. Hear that, spandex cyclist riding in the middle of the road three feet away from the bike path this evening? The road is being shared! You just think you're too good for the part you've been given! It even has a doofy little bike painted on that stretch every half mile or so so you know it's for you!

Wow...I almost let a whole week go by without posting in this thread.

My browser decided not to restore tabs today. All those forgotten groups . . .

Man, I'm beat. I'll have more to say later and perhaps even a rant. No promises.

I voted today.

Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber

Any thoughts on the election?

Shadow Lodge

It was a lose-lose scenario, and that's all I got to say about that.

Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber

Yeah I was hoping America would win...but there was no chance of that happening.

Shadow Lodge

That begs for a Sam the Eagle post, but I can't muster the patriotism for it.

That gives me a mental picture of a really unusual cuckoo clock.

I'm officially adding bicycle riders who ride in the middle of the road to the list. There are sidewalks for a reason people!

Andoran

Those dang law-abiding citizens.

Sidewalks are for pedestrians! Bicyclists get off the sidewalk!

Driving in the middle of the road after sunset on a bicycle is dangerous to both the driver of the car and the cyclist. Our town has a bike trail that is something like 6 miles long, making it 12 miles if you make a round trip.

I must stop typing or I will run out of steam for my rant.

As I said before, no bikes on sidewalks is a stupid law that should be universally repealed.

If a biker is stupid enough to deliberately run over a pedestrian, s/he deserves the assault charge they'll get. Get off the bike and walk it if you can't get around the pedestrians.

But stay out of the road unless you can go the speed limit!

Bicyclists should do it in the street!

Welcome back rant fans! This rant is about “Why Gruumash is so Awesome?” Well, actually this rant will be about why Gruumash is not awesome but simply ok. See initially Gruumash was a pretty awesome dude. He hated that (expletive deleted) Leafar guy, he made Doodlebug cry like a (expletive deleted), and he had an orc avatar. But now he has this whole “Mad Badger” alias and it just kind of makes me feel pretty (expletive deleted) apathetic about his posts. I mean as Gruumash, he was THE god of Orcs now he’s just some guy on the internet with a terrible username. I don’t mean to bash on the guy…well I guess I am, (expletive deleted) it, but it’s just doesn’t hold the same weight anymore. Let’s use another poster as an example. Triomegazero aka TOZ created the alias TOZ and there really isn’t that much difference between the two. Gruumash on the other hand when from “God of Orcs and all around cool dude” to “a crazy (expletive deleted) badger?” There is like no (expletive deleted) comparison. Anyways, Gruumash was at his best when he had Leafar and Doodlebug to interact with. Now in the post-Leafar era, he has lost his edge. (Expletive deleted), truth be told, I think all of us involved with Leafar the Loathed have lost our edge. And for that reason, I will always hate that (expletive deleted). But this isn’t about that guy, this rant is about Gruumash and why he’s not as awesome as he could be. I really wish I could have just been like “Why Gruumash is so Awesome? Because. End of rant.” But I could not and here we are at the end of this rant which is by far not one of my better rants but (expletive deleted) it, it’s done.

Tune in next time when I rant about…Purple People Eaters? Seriously, who was the (expletive deleted) crackpot who suggested that as a topic. [Redacted] (Expletive deleted) [Redacted], that is going to be a (expletive deleted) to rant about.

What a bunch of piddle and tosh. I don't even know where to start. Should I start with the fact that the Mad Badger is not a mustilidae, but is, in fact, an orc? Maybe not the God of the Orcs, but he is, like, a 7th-level barbarian or something and he will f&%& your shiznit up if you look at him wrong, apostate.

Also, Gruumash. is still awesome, that's all that needs be said about that, fool.

Third, I don't know what kind of crack you're smoking, you hallucinating has-been, but Gruumash. never made Doodlebug cry.

About the only thing that you got right was that these boards were much, much better when my Lord and--erm, I mean, Leafar the Beloved still graced us with His presence.

You infidel dog.

Oh man are you still trying to bring back that fool Lanfear the "he needs to get (expletive deleted) map or a GPS already" guy? Seriously he does not come back here becasue he can't find the place ... he is lost yet again. I mean the first time it might have been funny, cute maybe even charming. Then it got annoying and seriously now it is just pitiful so really we should just have called him Lanfear the Pitifully Lost. As for Doodlebug well we know why he wanted to "follow" Lanfear he is the same guy he made him up so he could create a cult and all that. Plus since Lanfear could never find his way here he could never post to begin with. So Doodlbebug was only doing what he could to keep things going since Lanfear was lost to begin with.

Now as for being Awesome well it is a given lets all be honest it is. JDM031 was just trying to get me back on track and post here again which it worked and here you go you can bask once again in my Awesomeness.

That was totally my plan....>.>

Leafar will return when we are all most lost. His acolytes try to institute loss wherever we can. Your keys? Your dog? Your virginity? Your remote? That's us.

So... this talisman of locate object I found is basically Leafar-Bane?

Only if you're looking for a corpse. ;)

Taldor

You do know that he never really exsisted at least in the form that was seen on line here right? He and Dodolebug were the same person really sort of like a split personality really. I did a study on the whole thing got it published even.

This, of course, is not true.

If there is one thing that we all know about Doodlebug Anklebiter, it's that he never stops beating on the same joke, over and over and over and over again, without stop, ad nauseam. "Goblins do it in the street"? "Vive le Galt"? "Voting is for ninnies"? All of these stopped being funny around August of 2011, and yet het still posts them over and over and over again.

If Doodlebug and Leafer the Loved were the same person, do you really think Leafar would have gone missing all this time? I don't think so.

Also,

All hail Leafar!

Taldor

I don't always talk about myself, but when I do, I prefer the third person.

... no, wait, no I don't.

To use the first person while discussing the wholly contumacious tin-foil hat theory that Doo--I and Leafar are the same being gets confusing and also opens me up to cheap shots from the apostates and unbelievers.

All hail Leafar!

Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber

Interesting, because Leafar never stopped with the whole "I'm a mighty and powerful wizard" bit for the length of his time he was around. So, it does fit your M.O. but perhaps there is some other reason why you can no longer post as Leafar such as (bubble, bubble bubble) has caused you to "forget" how to log on to the account.

That's f$++ing ridiculous.

Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber

Well, given that <bubble, bubble, bubble> has been shown in research to cause memory problems...

{appears in a poof of sulfur} Did someone summon me?

I have never gotten so high I forgot how to log on to Paizo!!!

My Master's back and you're going to be sorry/Hey now, my Master is back!

Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber

You have lied. You are a lier.

First off, apostate, the word is spelled "liar."

And I am not one of those. Well, actually, I am, but not right now.

Feast your eyes on this, unbelievers!

Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber

Hmm, it does appear to be a very good resemblence except for the fact that he said he wasn't Leafar. Also, if he was Leafar the Lost, he would have made a post somewhere about the end of the world which he has not done yet.

Maybe it's like some sort of Time Lord regen thing but he hit his head on a rock and can't remember who he was... You have to help him Doodlebug!

(Also very entertaining :) my favourite post was 'non' )

I wonder if DB's desire for the return of his "lord and master" has become so great that he's begun seeing images and signs where there are none. Like those people who see Jesus on toast.
