At least +2 to hit, +2 Will with one level.

Advice

Hi I'm after the 'best' 1 level dip for Melee dudes.
Now all I care about is what gives the most to hit and Good will save for the one level.

For example a Wild Rager is my leading contender ATM.
Between Full BAB and Rage he gives +3 to hit
Rage grants +2 will
The whole confused thing is not a tough number to beat.

Any Others?
Divine Hunter Pally has full BAB/+1 to ranged (PBS)
Good will save.

Dark Archive

Cleric of nature is tough to beat. Fly / Growth domains; +2 init, ability to swift action enlarge person a few rounds / lvl (with a reach weapon this let's you full attack someone 35 feet away). +2 will / fort all of the time, little out-of-combat healing... it's got a lot to offer for 1 BAB. Same with Luck/Travel domain (reroll and +10 speed is solid for a dip).

Got int 11+?

Then consider Alchemist with Vivisectionist archetype.

Flat out, you get Throw Anything, Brew Potion (several lv1 pots that never go out of style), 1d6 sneak attack, +2 fort and reflex. Then you have the mutagen for +4 Str, dex or con, and +2 Natural Armor for 10 minutes. And then you have two infusion slots, giving you access to Shield. Meaning you can get +4 AC twice per day.

In summation:
Sneak Attack +1d6
Two feats
+2 Fort & Ref
Drink a mutagen for +4 str (+2 hit, +2 damage) and +2 Nat Armor
+4 AC in two fights.

Oh, and Use Magic Device, if you have charisma and want to use wands and such.

Pretty good guys. The Alchemist I had not considered but seems to offer alot.
I guess a 11 int Char who took it would be a moonshine kinda guy who tales his 'medicime' before a big fight

Any others?

Using 3rd party books you could take a one level dip of warlord. +2 Initiative, +2 Attack, +1 Damage, +2 Fort, +2 Will.

Scarab Sages

Paladin seems like a good choice, too, depending on your Charisma. You'll get the +1 BAB, +2 Fort and Will saves, and Smite Evil 1/day which could be a large bonus to hit. Should you make it a 2-level dip, you'll get another +1 BAB, another +1 to Fort and Will, and then your Charisma mod bonus to all saves.

+1. Just played in a 2nd-3rd level game and saw how deadly this could be. Combine with Raging Drunk Barbarian for another great dip. Enlarge Person as a move action? Yes please.

FYI, Raging Drunk's non-provoking Move Action to drink a Potion/Beverage doesn't say anything about removing the action to DRAW the Potion/Beverage, so that remains the same (Move Action). But if you aren't using your Move Actions every round, and/or can Draw an item combined with normal movement you would already make anyways, you can kind of sneak in an extra action every 2 rounds. Alchemists have their own actions to use their items, that include 'drawing them', but that wouldn't be modified/reduced to a Move Action by the Raging Drunk ability. Still, having both is useful.

That's true. I'm going to have to invent an alchemical beer-helmet.

The wild stalker (ranger) doesn't get so much on +hit and no + on will saves but something that can be even more useful at least to human PCs.
He gets low-light vision at first level.

And +1BAB and ref and fort saves.

I didn't do the full meth but a systhesist summoner could be a nice buff, too.

You fuse with your eidolon, get his HP as temporary HP, get it's (full) BAB, use his physical ability scores and your mental ability scores. there is more but depending on your ability scores it could work out.

In addition, as a arcane spellcaster you could lern arcane strike, with in my book is a nice feat even with just a CL1.

20, by my count. Where are you getting 35?

Not sure about the summoner.

Let me be clear. This is for a one level dip for an order of the shield cavalier.
Specifically so I can get Co-ordinated Charge via tactician asap.
He has the bodyguard and Stratagist archetypes and is a longsword/ shield TWF'r

I'm currently tossing up between a Crusader cleric of Sarenrae (for wpn fcs, +2 will, wand use and able to heal touch away some ability damage)
Or
Growth domain cleric for swift enlarge and enlarge person spell
Or Wild Rager Barb so I can 'let myself' be confused (as long assomeone hits me, I auto attack them) and with Morale to will saves from rage, base save and a will save item the save should be a 80% pass (I dumped Cha so I'll need to beat a 9)
