Yes - it is from the APG and not on the banned spell list under Additional Resources
This I agree with.
My own sorcerer in PFS plans to use the spell as well; with a Porter Vanity watching my reflection with a potion at the ready ^_~
This I'm not so sure about. I thought it was basically not allowed to have "vanities" affect a PC in any way, shape or form.

Correct (well, aside from their listed effect, obviously). The porter can do exactly what it says: carry your gear. It cannot take actions, such as administering a potion to your dying body.
Now, you could instruct one of your teammates to take a potion from your porter and be ready to fix you up, but the porter itself can't do it.

perhaps a familiar... opps! not on a Sorcerer, sorry
or use Infernal healing to give you a long lasting fast healing? if your Sorcerer had it it would be at his caster level and would last minutes.

My Sorcerer Bloodline gives me a familiar, which is a tiny serpent, and while he is cool, a 1d2-2 damage, versus a 1d6 strength damage familiar attack is much win.
so maybe you could have your familiar stand by with a healing potion? or a Wand of CLW... or heck, maybe use an Unseen Servant with a standing command "if I fall down, open these smelling salts and hold them next to my nose."
