Well, we are well into planning and preparing for the next SCARAB Gaming Convention and have already attended a number of conventions in the south east: ConNooga
and we are scheduled to attend several more in the next couple of months: GnomeCon
Plus we have several games days planned around the Carolinas and Eastern GA. Our event at Firefly this past weekend in Lexington, SC had great attendance and we had people from as far away as Virginia, make the drive just to hang with the SCARAB Swarm. We had attendees from Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Savannah and Augusta as well as Charlotte. We were happy to see so many old faces and meet some new friends. Our next big retailer day will be FREE RPG Day in June. Come on out and play some games with us! If you are interested in having SCARAB attend your retailer event or convention please just drop me a line.
GnomeCon was a great event! We had a ton of fun and now you can look for the SCARAB Swarm to next appear at XCON World in Myrtle Beach, SC and you can register for a GM or player spot HERE.
I will be in Charleston for Gathering in the Park May 12th with Thom and some other great GMs having some PFS FUN. Find out more here.
Change of plans ... Gathering in the Park is moving to July and possibly a venue change? More info to come as I get it. That means we are going to GeekOut 2012 in Ashville, NC on the 12th. Come on out and meet the SCARAB Swarm, play some PFS and get a chance to grab some great prizes. Then, don't forget that XCON is the next weekend on the 18-20th of May where you will be able to get your game on with the swarm and enjoy Myrtle Beach, SC. Registration for both events is open and you can reserve your spot at a table here: GeekOUT 2012 - Ashville, NC - May 12, 2012 XCON World - Myrtle Beach, SC - May 18-20, 2012 COME ON OUT AND HAVE SOME FUN!!!!

Several GMs have asked, "What to I need to bring to MACE?" If you are running/GMing for SCARAB at MACE or anywhere else for that matter you do not need to bring anything other than a great attitude and enthusiasm and it is recommended that you bring the copies of the core assumption you need.
Recruiting GMs for SCARAB. Sure you can go to other conventions and run games and maybe you get a GM boon and maybe you'll get lucky and draw something else. Look at the value we place on your time and energy here at SCARAB! Those who run 7 sessions or more:
Those who run 3-6 sessions:
Those who run 1-2 sessions:
Those interested in signing up to GM need to contact me ASAP.
Both. For those without room arrangements already we are doing it the same way Paizo did it at GenCon. A room shared by 4 people. If you are already a part of a group we will give you credit (up to the 1/4 of the value of the con room rate) that can be used at the convention in the dealers room or at the cantina. We will not reimburse with cash.
SCARAB Game Days The next SCARAB Game Day is this weekend November 17, 2012 at: Firefly Toys and Games Firefly is located at:
We have prizes and boons! We have 12 sessions of PFS on the schedule and you can sign up at: The next game day is scheduled in December and it will also be at Firefly. The response to these has been so overwhelming that we are looking to move every three months and will hopefully be running the next game days in Georgia just over the South Crak-a-laky border.
I'm not a regular Warhorn user but is there any way to reorganize the gaming schedule to make it more legible? Right now it's just sorted by start time of the slots which means the PFS scenarios are scattered amongst 2-hour, 3-hour, and 4-hour board gaming slots and all-day minis tournaments. I'd love to see all the PFS games together.
zylphryx wrote: PFS games all have start times of 8am (until 1pm), 2pm (until 7pm) and 8pm (until 1am). Within those windows I think there are only PFS slots listed ... or maybe I just signed up early enough to miss the other events. ;) No, you're right. It's just that (taking Saturday for example) there's 2 columns, then PFS (8-1) then 5 columns: 8-7, 8-11, 11-1, 1-5, 2-4, <scroll right> ah here we are, more PFS (2-7), 3 more columns, more PFS. It's just particularly confusing because everything is running in different length slots and starting at different times. I was just wondering if it was possible to group all the PFS at the start (or the end).
This is a failing commentary to the current version of warhorn. It arranges slots by start time (which is great but...) and will not let you arrange them any other way. The way they are set up we wanted to organize the schedule by slot # but warhorn just won't let us do it. Maybe version #2. We donated some $$$ to the warhorn creator and will continue to do so in the hopes that the software continues to improve.

So will the maps that aren't premade (such as flipmats and map packs) by Paizo be ready to go or will the GM need to draw out?
What do John Compton, Chris Mortika and Del Collins all have in common? 5 Stars ... And ... They will all be running games at SCARAB! Huge shout out to all the judges running games at SCARAB, there are a whole bunch of stars helping out and I mean that sincerely. Thanks to everyone who is helping out!

Delbert Collins II wrote: Congratulations Goob on the 3rd star! Danka. I surely will be putting them to good use this year at SCARAB and all of our other cons we visit... ooo and game days with the SCARAB Swarm all over the southeast.... oh and local events... and let's not forget those awesome home games... So.
