Next time, you get to hug them all day ;-)
Ye.
What I'll do it hug Mona, and then Bulmahn can pick us up and carry us around all day :3

Hey, everyone. I know it's just a couple of weeks before my first anniversary here on the forums, but it's close enough. So I'd like to say a few things before I forget them. First off, I'm glad to have survived my first year on the forums, even if it's mostly just listening to others. I'd like to think that I've become a better Human Being just by listening to others with differing viewpoints and opinions. And I'd like to think that I've grown wiser in the process.
I'd like to thank everyone for being kind, caring, and compassionate towards me, a near total stranger. Not just about my recently diagnosed tumor, but everything else. Including my (still) unresolved grieving over the 1997 suicide of a brother. It means a lot to me, possibly more than anyone will ever know. Likewise, I've also shared in your joys and sorrows.
Each and every one of you, on this thread and others, has become like family to me, and I love you all. And this year, I'll not let my Birthday slip by without telling anyone.

GM Mowque wrote:Weird question from a cis person, any idea how to create more representation IN-GAME without making it seem ham-fisted and shoved in? I just realized all my NPCs are straight and that seems not-cool. Any advice would be welcomed.Generally, keep in mind that straight characters are put in without question, so just... start having gay people pop up, and don't make a big deal about it. "Did that barbarian lord just mention his husband?" "Yeah?" "A'ight, cool."
Trans characters are a little trickier representation-wise because we don't go around saying "we're trans!" because... well, a variety of reasons.
Anthony Burch had a great essay about it that boiled down to "When I realized that I never asked, 'Why is this character cisgender, white, and heterosexual?', I stopped having any hesitations about adding characters that were not."
Sometimes I wonder if people are actually getting that most if not all of my main characters are trans, but it's also like, those who can figure it out from light text clues will and those who can't probably shouldn't be getting it.

I've only been brave enough to try one in PFS, and once there was a certain balancing point with the character, I stuck with it.
In home campaigns, it's a recurring theme, and have had characters all over the map -- but that's a supportive environment, and I don't see them working very well in organized play.
I'm working on right now on a fluid Undine, and trying to find the right flow there is a challenge.

Hrm, having some trouble with my new character. Trying to figure out what deity she'd follow... if any at all. She's a transgender Aasimar that, in combat, believes in healing the worthy and purging evil beings in shattered crystal (ice). Outside of combat, she's actually a bit on the lazy and sarcastic side. Technically, as a sorceress, she doesn't need a religion... but if she falls into one, hey, why not?
My problem is, I feel like she's not strict/serious enough for Iomedae and the ice thing conflicts with Sarenrae's sunny theme. Thoughts? I might pull her over to the Advice thread.
Wonder if there are any angels she could follow?

Well, speaking in terms of Game Mechanics, taunting should be an Intimidate check, with the opponent's Will Save DC equal to the result of the Taunt check. A success means that the opponent resists the taunt. Exact actions of opponents that fail are up to the GM. Hope this helps. :)
I was thinking this might fall more under a Bluff? It's hard to say what "dude, that was an excellent slaying of my friend, I'm not even mad, give me a high-five" counts as.
Bluff even has rules for plausibility. Now, even if they believe I want to give them a harmless high-five, whether they want to give me a harmless high-five is a problem. Bluff + Diplomacy???

Arshea is a good suggestion, but since she's got that ice theme, perhaps Pulura? There's also info on her in Chronicles of the Righteous, including Celestial Obediences.

Oh, I dig that! Could go either way, or maybe she has shrines to both in her home. We're on the opposite ends of the Law-Chaos spectrum, but I think restrictions of deity only really apply to divine classes.

I know right. I mean, "canon" is basically, "stuff we thought made a good story until a better story came along," that said.

I've been using it, I thought it was canon too.

Good morning, everyone. I won't be posting here very much, today. I'm trying to help a friend on another thread deal with a bout of depression and the reoccurring alcoholism it brought along for the ride. I'll accept any words of encouragement that anyone wants to send my way. Thank you.
You are awesome, John. It is good to have you here :-)
