Lardon is a Los Angeles-based food truck that sells bacon for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's been known to run out of one of its signature menu items, the Bacone: three pieces of bacon served in a paper cone.

A 200-pound pig can yield around 20 pounds of bacon.

The Sticky Pig website offers candied bacon with flavors such as coconut-curry lime, raspberry jelly doughnut, and s'mores.

Bacon is alright. I don't like it when it is too crispy, though.

Rule 5: Crispy and chewy are both acceptable ways to cook bacon. Thou shalt not discriminate.

American pork belly bacon has approximately 3 grams of fat per slice, about the same as a scant tablespoon of salad dressing.

Bacon-cured pork loin is commonly called back bacon.

Had more bacon for breakfast this morning. My usual breakfast when I'm down here is two side orders of bacon and a side order of toast.

One of my gifts: a 2.5 lb pack of Wright brand smoked bacon!

Had bacon for breakfast Christmas morning. Great start to the holiday.

Silver Crusade Star Voter 2013

There was a bacon quiche on Christmas morning. As I rather enjoy a well-made quiche, the inclusion of bacon makes it a blessed event.

Almost forgot to mention, one of the gifts I received was bacon candy canes. I am loved.

Finished off the last of that 2.5 lb pack of bacon this morning. I'm both happy and sad. But the sadness can be alleviated by purchasing more bacon.

I'm thinking today will be the last time we do breakfast with my folks for this trip. Might have to get the kid his own bacon this time so he doesn't continue to mooch off mine.

I got this for Christmas from Tim and Julie!

Sadly, I do not have a 2013 bacon calendar. Not that I need a reason to continue talking about bacon....

On Saturday I put some crumbled bacon on roast mushrooms and brussels sprouts. Is that an acceptable use for bacon?

Yes, but at the time all he did was hold the bacon and lick it. Kind of like Gollum and "the precious".

Is it tasty? Is it ... scrumptious? Is it ... wriggling?

If your bacon is wriggling, you're doing it wrong.

If a wee little one is causing the bacon to wriggle, all is as it should be.

I've got a pack that I think I'll try to cook up this weekend. For the boy, of course......

LOL you had me at Bacon... too funny.

My wife bought some pre-cooked bacon for the boy. You just pop it in the microwave for a few minutes and - bam!

Sczarni

Just had some bacon for breakfast. Can confirm that it's still delicious.
