In the movie "It's A Wonderful Life," in the scene where Uncle Billy is leaving George's house drunk, it sounds as if he stumbles over some trash cans on the sidewalk. In fact, a crew member dropped some equipment right after Uncle Billy left the screen. Both actors continued with the scene ("I'm all right, I'm all right!") and director Frank Capra decided to use it in the final cut. He gave the clumsy stagehand a $10 bonus (compared to money values now, that's about $100) for "improving the sound."

In 1990, the metal band Judas Priest were put on trial for murder when two people that were big fans committed suicide after listening to the band's albums. Suicide is a pretty hard method to murder someone you never met, but the accusation was that there were subliminal messages put on the album that pushed them into it.

Now here's the weird part: there were subliminal messages on the album. The phrase "Do it" kept coming up throughout the more depressing songs, which could be seen as nudging toward suicide, but the group was acquitted because while the prosecution did make the case that the messages were there, there was no evidence that the messages were put on the album intentionally; the defense argued successfully that "Do it" could easily have been the result of the sounds coming together, remixed during the recording process, and not really something that could be planned for nor avoided.

The 1998 Godzilla, universally hated, is officially part of the Godzilla mythos. In the 2006 movie Godzilla: Final Wars, there is a reference of a monster attacking New York City in 1998 that was mistaken for Godzilla, and the creature itself shows up in Australia and is the first monster Godzilla kills.

Also, his official name is now Zilla, which started out as a joke; fans have said that that movie had nothing to do with God.

Milhouse: No way, Bart. If I lean over, I leave myself open to wedgies, wet willies, or even the dreaded rear admiral!

You can pet a porcupine. The three things to watch out for are

    1) the porcupine is willing of course
    2) You pet with the quills (obviously)
    3) The hard part, do not touch the ends of the quills. There are small barbs there and they'll catch your hand a bit.
