The Terah Project--Steampunk Preview at PaizoCon 2012.

PaizoCon General Discussion

Liberty's Edge

I am still working out the details but there will be a few chances to check out the new steampunk system by Rossi Publishing Games by playing the PFS style module Mr. Dumont and the Magnificent Time Piece. Steampunk characters will provided.

You can download the playtest pfd here at Paizo.com

You can check out our blog here.

You can even contribute directly through kickstarter or get involved in some discussion about us and another great steampunk project at rpg.net.

Downloading the playtest. Count me in if you run something at PaizoCon; always up for something new.

I'm familiar with Pure Steam as I made mention of it elsewhere in the forums. I'm on the fence at this point as funds are tight, so I tend to observe if anyone's right at the tipping point to succeed their drive.

But if I'm reading correctly, there's no mention of a soft/hard-cover book of the setting? Just PDF?

The future of the print edition, as well as a lengthy explanation of why I opted to release only pdfs first can be found in the kickstarter discussion area.

The long and short of it is simply this: This will be our only kickstarter. If there is enough market support to allow for print editions, we will persue it. This means that we will charge normal market prices for our books ($40 for the hardcover World Guide and $15 for our adventure paths). We will not use kickstarter funds to create a serious overage of over-priced books.

There is a definite release date for the Spark now. It will be added to the playtest document on or around June 1st. =) Sorry for the delay, but as the Spark appears in the Girl Genius comics, it would be vastly over-powered in any campaign. Keeping it in balance while not powering it down into obscurity ended up being a more daunting task than we originally planned.

You can get a sneak peak by backing our kickstarter. =)

We're also looking for reviews and feedback still. There's been quite a few downloads and no reviews. =P
