Savage Tide campaign needs a player

Recruitment

1 to 50 of 75 << first < prev | 1 | 2 | next > last >>

Hello all! I am running a Pathfinder-ized version of the Savage Tide set in Sargava, with the city of Eleder replacing Sasserine. For those not familiar, it is an AP filled with pirates, demons, and thieves on the high seas, though there is plenty of urban adventure as well. PbP is young, only 500+ posts: Link to Thread

The party, currently 2nd level, consists of:
barbarian 1/sorcerer 1
2nd level fighter
2nd level oracle
2nd level monk

A divine caster may help, but open to other roles as well. I want a dedicated and creative player, who can post multiple times per day on weekdays.

Please post your timezone in your application. I am in the EST.

Mechanics: 2nd level, 20 pt build, max gold.

Any questions, let me know. I will try and pick a player very soon so don't wait too long to post your application.

I would be interested in participating in this campaign. I have an idea for a cleric of either Abadar or Besmara. More of a trader of the sea, this cleric works at the local temple to bless and protect sailors as they leave port. I will look at the thread and post a more complete application asap.

Lantern Lodge

I would also be interested and will put something up later today. I'm in CST and can post multiple times daily. Probably will be looking at a cleric or possibly inquisitor once I read through the existing thread.

Thank you for your interest. I always worry no one will apply and am pleasantly surprised when they do, so thanks!

Count me interested as well! I'm EST and can update multiple times throughout the day as well. I'll think on this tonight and try to narrow down a character to submit.

(I presume anything in the PRD is fair game?)

I'd be interested in running STAP with this character. Working on fleshing out description and background in the profile, but the gist of it is that she's a melee bard (dervish dancer, if you allow the archetype from UM) that may eventually go for the duelist PrC.

I'm EST (GMT -5) and post pretty regularly. You can see examples in DM AK's Sargavan Saga game, where I play an elf enchantress.

Dal, no gunslingers, ninja, or samurai, but everything else pretty much ok.

I've never done a PbP before but would you be up for a halfling rogue 1 / cleric 1? From a tabletop game I have a halfling rogue 3 who's loosely based on Ronon Dex from Stargate: Atlantis. Just imagine a dread-locked halfling who is obsessed with knives.

EDIT: EST

Lantern Lodge

I've also never done a Pbp before but would like to try and run a Storm Druid. I am on the West Coast though so would that be any problem? I'll probably be done with the character by tonight.

Dark Archive

id like to run a human life oracle
Edit: CST

No problem with West Coast.

Human Witch or Dwarf Wizard

Lantern Lodge

Lucendar - are you open to the Preacher archetype from Ultimate Magic? Thinking of an Inquisitor (Feather) of Shimye-Magalla (the conjoined Gozreh-Desna).

Preacher archetype is fine.

Human Life Oracle
Jarred

Here is Herral Hinn, a cheerful halfling cleric of Desna. The alias has about 700gp worth of treasure and if chosen I'd be delighted to boost that to whatever total you deem as max.

Posting is no problem as I have played in Heathy Isle of Dread game as a cleric up to level 9. Plus I am currently playing in only one game that is moving at a decent pace.

I'm on GMT by the way.

Cheers

Dexx (halfling rogue 1 / cleric 1) in progress ... Dexx alias page

Thanks all for your interest. I have set a deadline: tomorrow at 8pm EST. It gives everyone who has posted nearly a full 24 hours to submit an application, as well as any newcomers.

Would you be open to non-Core races?

Case by case basis: what race?

Got a quick question for you ... magic items for starting characters?

No magic items, may give you a potion or two. After all the characters in the campaign are under the wealth by level guidelines.

Poke for interest
EST as well, and would be able to post all day, seeing as I have no life outside of my computer.

How's an Orc Shapeshifter Ranger sound?
If not full-blooded Orc, then I've got a Half-Elf Skirmisher/Shapeshifter Ranger from a game I'm no longer in that I'd adjust for your rules.

I'd like the applicant to have some healing available, as you can tell by the applicants' classes so far: cleric, oracle, druid, inquisitor, or witch. Your ranger, while a cool concept, would not work for this group.

Is the oracle you have right now not really a healer?

Traits?

I'm thinking of a catfolk paladin.

Catfolk race is fine, though I'd like to read your background as to why he left his tribe and now he's in a civilized city like Eleder.

The oracle's mystery is not life so she is a secondary level healer. The applicant I pick has to be able to help out with healing, either as primary or secondary.

Okay, no ranger.
How's a 10yr old Human Preservationist Alchemist, named Ketch Ashum?
Kidding on age and name...Unless you want me to do that :P

Short version:

He was captured by Chelaxian slavers just prior to the civil war and brought to Eleder. He was sold as a house servant to a wealthy merchant. After the rejection of House Thule by Baron Grallus, his owner/master (who supported Thule) was arrested and executed as a traitor to the new government. He escaped in the chaos and took refuge at a nearby church. They hid him until everything died down. He was touched by their kindness and decided to stay, eventually training as a paladin.

Does that sound like something that could fit in your game?

Damien, the alchemist concept is fine but not 10 years old.

Tanner, that concept could fit.

Lucendar wrote:

Tanner, that concept could fit.

That was pure joke, since Preservationist is very 'pokemon master'esque.

Will post the whole of the character statblock + a short story of 'why' if you'd like.

Rules on traits?

Oh, never saw Pokemon cartoon. I'm in my 30s, not my generation. I grew up on GI Joe, Transformers, Voltron, Thundercats, etc. Sure, would like to see the concept.

Don't forget the original jack-of-all-trades, the bard. (I just can't conceive of a bard not having cure spells on their spells-known list, honestly.)

2 Traits - one must be regional (no rich parents)

25% Red lasers, 25% Blue lasers, 50% Knowing.

All you need to know about combat.

Regional from what sourcebook?

EDIT: Also, do you allow the Dervish Dance feat from the Inner Sea World Guide? I'd probably switch Syndlara to a bard 1/fighter 1 to pick up Weapon Finesse and Dervish Dance at the same time, but every level after that would be as a bard until she could pick up the Duelist PrC. She'd still have access to wands of cure x and have cure spells among her spells known, and thus could operate as a secondary healer.

LOL!!!

Preservationist Archetype

Syndlara, I use these lists: Traits

Damien Rosaltier wrote:
Preservationist Archetype

Damien, I know about the archetype, I did not understand the reference to Pokemon as I have never seen it.

Yes to dervish dance feat, Synd.

Damien Rosaltier wrote:
Preservationist Archetype

That's a pretty cool concept ... it actually kind of looks like the used Pokemon as the basis for the archetype.

Lucendar, are you looking for a full stat-block or more of a general idea for these submissions?

I think I can squeeze in a second adventure. I'm having so much fun with the other one.

Well I wanted a character who will do well in a seedy town.

How about a Half-Orc Chelish Diva? A corpulent (I mean big time!), larger than life operatic singer with lusty appetites....including an appetite for adventure!

idea for a Half-Orc Bard:

st 17 dx 8 cn14 it14 ws 08 ch 15
Arcane Strike, Famous Prima Donna

She comes from a half-orc community in far-off Averaka among the Ironbound Islands in the North. She was born from a long line of noted Skalds and has a tremedous (!) voice. She can sure belt out a drinking tune. But she always had more adventurous and ambitious goals. She travelled the high seas to Westcrown. She wanted to make it as a starlet there, but her overly bold style caused a scandal which almost ruined her career. She decided instead to take to the high seas again and boarded a ship for Sargava. She has already made a name for herself among the sailors and dockworkers...

Big, heavy and powerful half-orc singer!

Chelish Diva variant. If you are not confortable with that variant Lucendar, I could take Buccaneer - or just make her a normal bard.

General idea with some background/personality would suffice.

List of applicants and concepts so far, to keep things clear for myself:
Dathom - cleric?
Michaelane - Inquisitor (preacher)?
Dal - ?
Syndlara Sil'Parim - Elven bard/fighter EST
MJinthePitt - Halfling rogue/cleric EST
Zachman - Storm druid? PST
Jarred - Human life oracle CST
Roshan - ?
Heral Hinn - Halfling cleric GMT
Tanner - Catfolk Paladin?
Damien - Human alchemist EST
Unspunnen - Half-orc bard

If I missed anyone, let me know.

MJinthePitt here ... Dexx's profile is done.

Dexx stats/background

Lucendar - This is michaelane with Baolo, an Ijo Inquisitor (Preacher) of Shimye-Magalla with the Feather domain. Thanks for the opportunity to apply. I hope you like him. I will probably continue with some polishing on the background, but everything is ready for your review.

Lantern Lodge

if your taking none core races then can I use an aasimir? Also I gave up on a druid so I'll be sending you a cleric soon
