Black Dragon, Very young |Stat-block]

Suggestions/House Rules/Homebrew

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Pazio does not have a stat block for black dragon in the "very young" age category.
I did my my best to create the below based on the Dragon Reference Docs but I feel I have my have misinterpreted something.

For example, the saves are based on the "monster Creation" doc but don't seem to line up with other (older) black dragons stat blocks. Any help would be uh,..-helpful :)
Hopefully if this stat-block is right, others can use it too...

thanks.

You can find precalculated dragons of each age category on d20pfsrd. You may compare your dragon with theirs.

BTW: Your attack roll totals are off by 1 point, I guess you omitted +1 size bonus to attack rolls, you also didn't add lots of size and class bonuses to skills.

Since when do we round up? (Although I can't really figure out what DC you're referring to.)

Lists of class skills are found in the appendices under creature types.

"The following are class skills for dragons: Appraise, Bluff, Climb, Craft, Diplomacy, Fly, Heal, Intimidate, Knowledge (all), Linguistics, Perception, Sense Motive, Spellcraft, Stealth, Survival, Swim, and Use Magic Device. (Bestiary 307)"

bestiary p307 or here: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/monsters/creatureTypes.html

got it. Thanks Tim. (with big sharp teeth...)

Initiative should be +6 (+2 for Dex, +4 for feat).
Breath weapon DC should be 15: base 10, plus half HD (+3) plus Constitution modifier (+2).
Also black dragons don't get speak with reptiles until the next age category.
