Podcast Reviews

Music & Audio

I love podcasts and I listen to a lot of them. I thought I might do some reviews of the podcasts I think are worth subscribing to.

If you have podcasts you like and want to share feel free to review them here.

The first podcast I am going to review is the one that got me hooked into the podcast world.

The History of Rome.

I first picked this podcast up around episode 20ish as I was looking for info on running a Rome based Adventure.

The host Mike Duncan is warm, enthusiastic and has a laconic wit, that makes the podcast very entertaining.

I immediately went back to the first episode and started listening to the whole series. The first few episodes do have some problems with audio quality, some starting nerves and Mike is still sorting out the format of the podcast.

Once Mike settles in and gets comfortable as a host you will not be able to stop listening.

The podcasts goal is to go from the founding of Rome to the Fall of the Western Empire... (Sadly this is getting very close) Occasionally Mike has episodes on social and military aspects of Roman history to help give a grounding in the time period.

I give The History of Rome Podcast a 9/10.
