The current page count of the file I'm working on - with graphics - is around 210 pages. We've been modifying our layout settings to improve appearance / flow / readability / etc and that has actually increased the page count (by about 10 pages), but drastically reduced eye strain reading it. Just one of those things we've been doing while playtesting continues.
So your kind of playtesting new formats during a playtest? Neat!
Freedom16 - we don't have anything in that theme right now, although some of the newer archetypes we've put out have been darker - the sadist, for example.
What about the Nightmare Constructor?

I'm loving everything put out so far but one question, will we see any lovecraftian based archetypes? Some sort of eldritch horror channeler or psionic cultist?
On that note, is there any archetype or PrC for taking advantage from going/being insane? Power born from madness and understanding more about the world than the sane people and stuff like that?

Not currently, but we're always open to making more archetypes. :)
And on that note... as I've mentioned elsewhere, I've posted a preview for our preorder customers.
You can access it in our Private Playtesting Forums
Note: If you don't see anything with that link, it means you're not in the preorder group. If you preordered somewhere else (here, RPGNow, DriveThruRPG) and would like a copy of the preview, just let me know - either via PM here or via email (jeremy.smith AT dreamscarredpress DOT com) and I can see about getting you access.

I've put two of the Alpha archetypes into Beta playtesting:
Both are for the Cryptic base class.
And if you haven't been following the project status thread:
The Races chapter is now about 95% complete.
The Feats chapter is about the same.
That gives over 120 pages of the book that are almost completely finished (graphic placement is really all that remains, and then review).
The Prestige Classes chapter is still a bit of a mess from a layout perspective. Same with the pages dealing with Archetypes.
The Advanced Rules chapter (traits, power displays, talents) is coming along nicely.

I just purchased the PE subscription via DriveThruRPG and as I understand it, you're in the process of fine-tuning this and collating it into a single pdf, correct? Couple of questions about that final product that I haven't seen answered elsewhere.
- Will it be organized by the smaller releases or into more standard chapters (ie races, classes, skills & feats, etc)?
- Will I need to purchase that, or is that covered by the subscription?
- Do you have any kind of ETA for when that will be done? I'm trying to debate printing these pdfs for now or just waiting until the final is done.

Yup, that's correct.

It's being consolidated into standardized chapters.
Currently, the chapter list is:
Races
Classes
Feats
Advanced Rules
Powers
Prestige Classes
Items
- Will I need to purchase that, or is that covered by the subscription?
That's covered in the subscription.

Next month. :)

I've added the Amplifier archetype to our playtest. This is a tactician-based archetype.

Posting this here to avoid yet another thread. ;)
I am rapidly finishing up large swaths of the book. While I'm still waiting for some graphics, really the only portion of the book not finished from a content perspective is the Advanced Classes section, and even that is about 90% complete.
I still have to make the Table of Contents (saved for last because page numbers fluctuate), put in all the bookmarks, and get a wrap-around cover done for the printer. I also have to finish the Introduction section, since the one used for all the individual releases discussed the serialized releases and that really doesn't fit the compilation.
At this point, I don't expect the page count to fluctuate more than maybe 2 pages, so we're looking at a 214 page book.

Although most of the work going on now is layout / formatting / etc, there is still some development and playtesting going on!
I've posted the Beta of the Grammaton and the Alpha of the Shadow Hunter up for playtesting!

Cross-posting project status:
So I just did a scan to see what was still lacking.
Out of 216 pages (yes, it grew by 2 pages), we're at ~165 pages done.
When I say done, I mean totally done. Graphics done, layout done, formatting done, content done, bookmarks done, etc.
That means we have ~51 pages left to do. Of those, about 5 of them are just waiting for me to plug in a graphic.
The marksman, psion, psychic warrior, and tactician still need work. Along with the fighter, rogue, and monk. That's 21 pages out of the 51. Some of that is just standardizing the text, some of it is playtesting / design.
The Advanced Rules section still needs formatting standardization, plus an additional graphic. That's 12 pages.
The items chapter is waiting for a couple graphics plus it needs its layout adjusted to flow nicely. That's 8 pages.
The Introduction still needs to be finished, that's 2 pages.
But, we're at about 77% of the book ready for release. The remainder is almost ready.
As long as everything goes the way it's currently going, we'll have this sucker out mid to late July.

Not currently, no. The only core class archetypes currently available are for the fighter, monk, and rogue.
That's not to say we might not come up with something later, just that they aren't available now.
That's unfortunate, guess I'll have to add it to my stack of things to maybe sometime think about again and possible do something about.
All joking aside, you guys do great work and these constant playtest updates are fantastic.

Jeremy, I'm not sure if it's been fixed yet or it's just my copy but I believe the Transfer Ailments ability from the life leech needs some editing.
Transfer Ailment: A 1st level life leech can transfer the dazed, dazzled, shaken, or staggered condition from one member of his collective to another as a standard action. At 4th level, the life leech can transfer the fatigued, shaken, and sickened condition. At 7th level, the life leech can transfer the dazed and staggered condition. At 10th level, the life leech can transfer the exhausted, frightened, or nauseated condition. At 13th level, the life leech can transfer the blinded, deafened, paralyzed, or stunned condition. At 17th level, the life leech can transfer the unconscious condition (although a creature that receives the unconscious condition from this ability is not reduced to negative hit points by this effect, nor is the original creature brought automatically to positive hit points; such a creature would still have 0 or negative hit points, but would become conscious, stable, and likely given the disabled condition) If this ability is used on an unwilling target and the recipient of the effect makes a successful save (see the Unwilling Participant* feat), the creature with the condition being transferred still suffers from the condition. A life leech may use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + his Wisdom modifier. This ability may only be used on creatures with a Constitution score and may not be used against creatures with a total number of hit dice less than half the life leech’s level. This ability can only be used to transfer temporary conditions. For example, a life leech could not transfer blindness from a creature that has somehow lost its eyes permanently. This ability replaces Transfer Wounds and the accompanying benefits from the vitalist’s selected method.
I bolded the ones that are repeated. With the way it is the life leech gets nothing at 7th so you can either eliminate that to save space or change some things around. Sorry I didn't bring this to you attention earlier. I saw it and just forgot.

Here's the revised version:
"A 1st level life leech can transfer the dazed, dazzled, shaken, or staggered condition from one member of his collective to another as a standard action. At 4th level, the life leech can transfer the blind, deafened, fatigued, frightened, or sickened condition. At 7th level, the life leech can transfer the exhausted, panicked, nauseated, or paralyzed condition. At 10th level, the life leech can transfer the stunned or unconscious condition (although a creature that receives the unconscious condition from this ability is not reduced to negative hit points by this effect, nor is the original creature brought automatically to positive hit points; such a creature would still have 0 or negative hit points, but would become conscious, stable, and likely given the disabled condition)."

I've been going over and over this book and finding fewer and fewer things that need to be changed.
The cover right now is the only item outstanding.
While there is certainly still time for playtesting feedback (as seen by discussions today on the Shadow Hunter archetype, the Chaotic wilder, and the Empathic Monocle psionic item), as long as the cover completes this week, we will be releasing the PDF next week.
