Majority of the posters believe 2, minority belive 1. No dev answer, still tumultuous. I would take this and run because the Lockdown hammer is coming for this thread.

thank you very much.

Simply ask your DM how AOOs work, and if this situation would be one or two opportunities.

There was disagreement on both of these issues in the other thread and that's the core of it.

Going with the option that Stynkk recommends has its issues, which if you wish to see what else occurs from that you're welcome to read the other thread.

If by "clear answer" you mean one from the devs, then no. It hasn't been addressed yet. The thread got locked by a mod who thought that it may have been answered and covered under the 500+ posts.

I created a new thread to discuss the more general issue of "How many AoOs per provoking action can one make?" I think if that gets answered then it makes the GT+VS question and others like it moot.

Did they indicated what they believe the answer may have been? I'm hoping the answer was two, but thoroughly believe it will be ruled as one given the historical tendency to 'balance' melee based characters while doing nothing to reign in full caster classes.

no no no no no no... no need to spark a debate in this thread, the question was answered /end thread

If this is for a home game then ask your DM. if its for PFS you should shelve your monk until FoB is corrected anyways. Unless you dont have a flurry monk in which case ask before the session starts how that Gm would like to handle it for the time being.

Daryl. The thread is still there, you can go look. It was never given any attention by a Dev. The question was only answered by thread goers.

The developers are probably still mulling it over.
This will effect the game greatly, so let them take all the time they need to think about it.

If one's GM has already made a decision/ruling on this, then that's what one is gonna have to go with.

I am gonna say 2 just because giving anything more than that would send this thread spiriling in the abyss of twitter all over again.
