Can we get a new class? Pretty please?

Pathfinder Online

For combat oriented players in PFO it seems like we will have access to all 11 core classes.

I think it would be so awesome if PFO threw us a brand new class!!! Not something from the APG, UC or UM but a brand new class.

I sound pretty greedy right now (sorry). But I just think it would be such an awesome surprise.

Well, where is there a hole that needs filling by an brand new class? I can't think of a character type that can't be made using the core classes and multi-classes. It would be a great deal of work to make a new class and it would be a shame if it filled the little gap between paladin and cleric, for example.

The psychic equivalent of the ranger. That's the class we need.

A dedicated social class or dedicated crafting class.

Of the two, I would say a dedicated crafting class would be the easiest to make mechanically viable. Maybe something more akin the the Artificer from 3.5 but with all those PF additions we love so much. Their skill progression would include various crafting skills, and their levels would grant them speed bonuses to crafting/harvesting, the ability to track down nodes easier, and maybe the ability to craft/repair items in the field.

Give them some of the stuff the Alchemist gets (like bombs, glorious, delicious bombs!) and lets rock n' roll.

Well so far if i understand correctly what they said their plan was,U dont gain a "level" in ur archetype until u have leveld ur skills as a prerequisite for that archetype. having said that i want to see options were u can get abilities from the other archetypes like the sniper rogue from Advance Players guide or the Spellslinger from Ultimate Combat.

I would love to see the variants from the various rule books brought into play, but somehow I believe this to be more difficult to implement than it sounds.

If you give too many avenues into a particular class, some of the archetypes might bleed over into other classes, resulting in unintentional multi-classing. One option to alleviate this would be to allow for variants to be incorporated into the core class. When you gain your first level of fighter, maybe you could select a variant version of a class ability (instead of all fighters gaining the same abilities at first level). Once this decision is made, it cannot be undone.

It is my fervent desire that PFO implements Prestige Classes and Alternate Archetypes.

I wouldn't mind seeing new classes. I truly loved the class diversity in Vanguard, and I think the Disciple was a fantastic class idea. I wouldn't mind seeing that in PFO too.
