Half level bonus question

Quick question...

When you gain a bonus equal to half your class level, is there a minimum of 1?

So at 1st level in a class would I get a bonus of +1 or +0?

Only if it's specified. A lot of things say "half class level (minimum 1)", but some others don't.

Always round down.

Not always. Assume that it does not give you a +1 minimum and be glad when it specifically says it does.

When the text does not specifically say to round up or that there is a minimum of one, then you always round down:

Also, sometimes (racial favored class alternate bonus's, I'm talking to you) 1/2 means, literally, 1/2. As in .5. As in, you need to take it twice before you get an advantage. But you don't round the .5 out of existence . . .

Do two seperate 1/2 stack?
There are several things in the apg that add 1/2 level to skills like craft, intimidate and sense motive.
