Hi everyone,

I have recently stepped up to be the coordinator for Society at Lightspeed Hobbies in Portage IN.

We play every other Thursday night, starting around 5pm CST.

If you're in the area come on out!

Next game day is next week, Thursday March 22nd.

We're hoping to have two tables.

I will be running Assault on the Kingdom of the Impossible (Tier 1-5) and William Ronald will be running King Xeros of Old Azlant (Tier 7-11) so please come out and play!

Qadira ***** Venture-Captain, Indiana—Indianapolis aka Red-Assassin

Good luck up there Vance.

Silver Crusade ****

Great! I may have to try and make a trip down there to visit sometime. Maybe bring some of my players.

We are trying to grow the local group. So, if you are in Northwest Indiana or other parts of the Chicago area, we will be glad to have you show up. We run sessions every two weeks.

Qadira ***** Venture-Captain, Indiana—Indianapolis aka Red-Assassin

Will have fun with King Xeros, that is one of the best high teir scenario's in my opinion.

Yeah I had a blast when we played it. Half the party died in the first fight.

I'm a little booked right now, but perhaps I can make a trip up later in the spring to offer #3-EX The Cyphermage Dillema. Unless you have someone on the verge of their 4th star, or you can cajole Rene over from Chicago. :-)

i havent been cajoled in weeks!

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

That'd be great guys.
Right now I have a schedule set up through May but whatever week you guys want to run it we'll be glad to have it.

I guess one issue that we are looking at that may be of interest to other groups in Pathfinder Society is how to help groups grow.

One good thing that I have seen locally is that we are getting some new people into gaming, including young people. I consider this important as I would like to see our hobby not just continue, but to grow and and flourish. (Products like the Beginner's Box help greatly, but I think that a lot of the reasons why our hobby is still around is because some good GMs and players try to recruit people.)

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

Hoping for some good gaming action, see you tonight!

I'm planning on heading out there April 19th. Want me to GM anything?

Really? Maybe I'll make an effort to drive up for that game and hang out with the ol' gang and their VC.

Definitely. I like PFS :)

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

This week went great! We had two tables go off and 13 players total!

Next session is April 5th and the scenario is scheduled to be The Dalsine Affair.

Being that we had 13 players though I'll make sure we're ready to run a second table if necessary.

If there are any scenarios in particular anyone is interested in let me know!

Actually I'm not sure Rene is our VC. I've been talking with Tracy from Indianapolis too. It's like we have two VCs!

In all seriousness though it'd be great to have you guys.

Right now the scenario scheduled for April 19th is The Beggar's Pearl to be run by yours truly.

We will probably have enough for a 2nd table, either of you up for running Cypher Mage?

And Bob how long will you be up for? Enough time for a weekend session or two?

VanceMadrox wrote:

I guess I just assumed the area stayed attached to the Chicago region since it is largely considered a suburb. And it is closer than Indianapolis. And it was were I was based from. But in the end, I don't suppose it matters. You guys are probably free to align with either region. Both VC's are cool so it's a win either way.

VanceMadrox wrote:

Unfortunately, probably not. I am expecting to start a new job that weekend. The trip up for Game Night would be a "dine 'n dash."

VanceMadrox wrote:

I could be convinced ;-), but I'm not 100% sure I can make it in the first place, so don't write my visit in ink, maybe just dark pencil. :-)

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

Game on this Thursday!

We will be running The Dalsine Affair.

If a second table is warranted, William Ronald will be running Decline of Glory

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

Last night was a great time!

We had 8 players show up and ran two tables!

And Dalsine Affair only claimed 1 character's life.

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

Alright next week we have a special treat!

Chicago VC Rene Duquesnoy will be coming out and running the CypherMage Dilemma!

Also I'll be running The Beggar's Pearl at the 2nd table so come on down!

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

Come on down tomorrow!

Looking forward to playing with everyone.

I just at some Fogo de Chao, so I'm going to have the meat sweats all night long. This usually means I roll poorly.

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

Last night was a blast!

We had two tables run with a total of 13 players.

Special thanks to Rene for coming and running CypherMage and to Bob Jonquet for driving 3 hours each way to come and play!

Had a blast with everyone. Thanks to Bob for making the drive. He is a good man.

*awaits Dragnmoon's comment...

Andoran **

Thanks to Rene and Bob making the drive out to Lightspeed Hobbies. I had a great time with CypherMage.

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

This week will feature #47 The Darkest Vengeance for those who like their adventures dark and deadly.

And for those who want an adventure where they feel more cAPEable the other table will have the classic Mists of Mwangi! So come on down on Thursday!

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

This week we will be offering the Gods Market Gamble!

In addition we will have a special table for all our relative newbies to go into details of character creation and system basics. They'll also get a chance to Play the Ambush in Absalom quest from Kobold Quarterly.

So come on down!

**

I've lost track. When is the next game day?

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

Oh wow looks like I forgot to post for last time.

Well last time we ran Among the Living and a newbie table that made characters and played Ambush in Absalom.

Next game night is this Thursdays!

We will be offering First Steps Part I, In Service to Lore for all our recent newer players (veterans can play too) and a throwback to Season 0, #17 Perils of the Pirate Pact! Arr!

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

It's Game week again. This time we're offering The Penumbral Accords and First STeps Part II: To Delve the Dungeon Deep.

Come on Down!

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

Just realized that I had been neglecting this thread.

We're still going strong running 2 tables every two weeks.

Next session is 10/4/12 and we'll have The Citadel of Flame and Part 3 of First Steps.

Also, now that My Venture Lieutenantship is official I have set up a new email account for Society in Northwest Indiana. Please feel free to contact me at PFSNWI at gmail.com

I'll be working at setting up some form of website in the near future, probably just a war horn site to begin with.

Silver Crusade *****

Brian, feel free to use the PFS Indiana warhorn. Let me know if you'd like to be an admin.

Andoran **

Congratulations, Brian! As a fellow GM at Lightspeed Hobbies, I appreciate all the hard work.

I do like the Warhorn and it might be useful in helping attract attention to our games. Also, I think that there is a possibility of trying to help grow organized play in NW Indiana. (Arcticon is coming up in February in Valparaiso.)

Andoran

I might try to make it on the 1st. Are you going to be running any 1st level scenarios?

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

We always have at least 1 low level mod running.

This week will be Delirium's Tangle and Echoes of the Overwatched.

Andoran **

This week we will Part 2 of City of Strangers and the God's Market Gambit.

Silver Crusade ****

I need to schedule a Thursday off and come visit you guys some day. The Thursday is what's killing me. That's a hard one to schedule around.

Andoran **

I am not sure how we got Thursdays, as I came in after Bob Jonquet set up the day at Lightspeed. Still, we would love to see you there.

Taldor **** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana aka VanceMadrox

Unfortunately my 2nd gm can't make it tonight so we will only have one table. Please come on in for Sewer Dragons of Absalom!

Andoran **
