Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic looking for a Jedi

Recruitment

Silver Crusade

Hi all,

I promised I would be looking for a Jedi for my Star Wars group. And here I am. I need a first level Jedi for the group to round out their abilities. Who is interested in such an endeavor?

What group of rules will you be using for this? I might be interested.

I'm always keen for a Star Wars game. What sort of Jedi are you in need of? Combat or diplomatic or sneaky?

Dedicated Voter 2013

We're using the SWSE set with some house rules found in the campaign info thread.

This is a character I briefly played in a game that perished early on. I'd need to walk him back to level 1, but that's not a terrible burden. If he'll work, let me know. If not, I have an idea for a more consular Jedi, probably a Mon Calamari.

Silver Crusade

Probably a mix of both combat and sneaky. A Jedi Shadow or Jedi Guardian would be handy. And yes, there are some house rules, but not a lot of them. :)

If Dycabaska isn't quite right, I present Gilhal, Mon Cal Jedi:

Spoiler:

–––––––––––––––––––––––––
Appearance: Gilhal is a slight Mon Cal, with pale orange skin and large green eyes. She wears unassuming clothing, usually made to blend in with her surroundings. She tends to pause before speaking, though she can act quickly when necessary.

Background: Gilhal was raised in the Temple on Dantooine, and has known nothing save the Jedi. She was recognized as a very perceptive person at a young age and has been raised to become a Jedi Sentinel, excelling at watching, keeping silent and knowing when to act.

Personality Insights: Gilhal is patient and wise, in her way, but deep down she yearns for adventure. Unknown to even her teachers she has always been hooked on the holonovels, the pulpier the better. She yearns for the opportunity to stare down blaster fire and to face truly vile evil-doers. She keeps these urges under tight wrap, but under stress who knows what might happen.

Stat Math:
STR 10 (2 pt)
DEX 13 (5 pt)
CON 8 (2 pt -2 racial)
INT 14 (4 pt +2 racial)
WIS 16 (6 pt +2 racial)
CHA 14 (6 pt)

Destiny: UNKNOWN

Silver Crusade

sorry guys, School has caught up with me. I like both characters a lot. They were well made. :)

Silver Crusade

Really, it's hard to choose between them. hmm . . . Wooks are cool, and so are Mon Cals.

If it's all the same, I'd rather play Dycabaska. Something about a Wookie Jedi makes me happy inside.

Silver Crusade

I'd take you both, if possible.

Is this finished or can I make a submission? I was thinking a Kel Dor Fighter type Jedi with a staff saber. I'm not great on the rules so I'll have to take a bit to make the character but if I can I'd love to play in a Star Wars game.

EDIT: Also, I'm pretty damn new to the Star Wars Saga Edition system, so if helping me learn would be an issue I'll skip out.

Looking forward to some Jedi support in game

Ryuko, I have some experience with Saga. If you need any assistance, I can help.

Silver Crusade

You can make a submission, Ryuko.

Personal Observation: Of all the Jedi that were slain in Episode III at the order of the Emperor, the Kel Dor Jedi Master's and the Cerean's were the most tragic. I like the Kel Dor, according to the books, they are among the most gentle.

--------------------------------------------
Okay, I updated my Observations on Jedi Lightsaber Combat on my personal blog. Here is the link. I played SW:TOR for a week, and I have a better opinion on Lightsaber combat already, ee-gads. :)

Note though, I originally wrote my article for the benefit of TOR players. However, I realized that we have a lot more flexibility.

All right, whipping up Dor Kaan, Jedi Guardian, moving toward using staff saber and master of the Ataru style.

Don't mean to bust in here, but since you all were talking about saga...
are those rules still available for purchase? They sound great and I'd like to read up on them. I've only got the first d20 CRB for star wars...

Most likely through Amazon, and yes, I'm talking about SAGA rules. :)

Ugh... I'm way too unfamiliar with this system. I'm afraid I'm going to have to bow out. I like the idea of playing but the system is tying me into knots, and I wouldn't want to hold things up trying to learn.

No doubt it tied me into knots when I was reading it, but it slowly made sense. :)

GM Elton, is Dycabaska ready to go or is there anything I need to update?

Silver Crusade

He's fine. and He's ready. :)

Look forward to seeing you in the docking bay...
