Silver Crusade 4/5

A couple months back there appeared to be some interest in getting some events up and running in Columbus. Are there any reoccurring events setup? If not, how much interest is there in setting up a once or twice a month gaming sessions where we try and run 1-2 scenarios at one of the area's gaming stores? I would be more then willing to help or set them up. I would be interested as a player and GM. I would like to get something up and running for next weekend, March 24th or 25th, if at all possible. Let me know if there is any interest or something already setup.

Liberty's Edge 1/5

Good call. Get this set up quickly and run a few games on a Tuesday, that way when I am out there in April I can participate in a game! I'll even run one for you.

Sovereign Court 5/5 RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

There was a group meeting on Saturdays but real life seems to have intervened (or they just don't return my mails anymore).

That said... I'm all for playing/running games. (NE side here, 15 minutes from Ravenstone.)

I never went out there, but I thought I read that the Guard Tower on Trabue was starting up games a few months ago.

I played at the Armoury once or twice before it closed. I havn't known of any games sense however when I get home in the fall, I would like to play myself.

Sovereign Court 5/5 RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

FYI, like I said I'm willing to GM, but I have season 1 and 2 adventures, and modules of course.

Silver Crusade 4/5

I stopped by the Guard Tower and they have a game that plays there sometimes but is closed to new players. They have room on Saturdays for us to play there and would even allow us to put up some flyers advertising the games. I will try and check out Ravenstone tomorrow to see if anyone is playing there. I am all for trying to set something up for next Saturday the 24th. Anyone who is interested, let me know what time you would be able to play and I will set everything up.

Liberty's Edge 1/5

I will be there on Monday and Tuesday - April 16th and 17th. I would be happy to run any scenario you all wish as long as we have a spot to play.

I would like to get to a game once in awhile, but my family schedule precludes me from regular play (except for PbP).

I am hoping to take a day off work and roam around Origins this year, though.

Sovereign Court 5/5 RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

I don't have a life :P so any time on the weekends is fine. During the week is ok, as long as it's not too late.

Dark Archive 2/5

I directed my friend over to this post. He lives and plays PFRPG and PFS in Columbus area. hopefully he will post here. We play every two weeks up north in Canton, OH. We should be down to Orgins for PFS play. Our group Rogue Cthulhu will be doing a whole bunch of stuff this year.

Silver Crusade 4/5

I stopped in at Ravenstone and they have had a few games there but nothing current. We are welcome to sign up. I am leaning towards Guard Tower so I will stop in and see what they have running on the 24th and see when we can fit our game in. I'll also make up a flyer to try and get more interest.

Matthew, I take it your in for the 24th?

Holmes, will you be able to play on the 24th?

Dave, as long as the game doesn't go late, I am all for setting up a game on the 16th or 17th for you to join in.

Omnissiah, let your friend know we are trying to play on the 24th.

Liberty's Edge 1/5

Awesome Michael! How about the 17th - 6:00 to 10:00 PM? Happy to play or GM, your call! Thanks!

Alas, no, I've got a four year old and live gaming just isn't on the table. Though I might be able to make an open table once in a great while.

Sovereign Court 5/5 RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

I can do the 17th too. (again, I have no life)

Depending on timing on the 24th, I might have a 9 year old newbie in tow. (Niece)

Liberty's Edge 1/5

Awesome Matt! Find us a spot and then we can round up players and a scenario! Thanks!

Sovereign Court 5/5 RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

My house is a mess :P

Let me call around this afternoon and see what I can find.

Matt. Don't know if your niece is already RPGing or not, but I've been playing Wrath of Ashardalon lately and it looks like a great way to bring kids into RPGs. When my son's a little older I'm going to play with him.

Silver Crusade 4/5
I was able to stop by the Guard Tower and they said pretty much after 2pm on Saturdays there are no other games being playing. I was thinking of setting up the game for 3-7 on March 24th and I'd show up at 2:30 to assist with character making and anything else. Let me know if 3-7 doesn't work for those that were looking to attend. I'll go ahead and GM this session. I will be dropping off a flyer probably on Monday to advertise.

As far as April 17th goes, I will have to double check the gaming times for events at Guard Tower. I don't see anything on Ravenstone's website but I don't think it is up to date. I am sure we can find a place to play and if all else fails, we can use my place as a backup as long as those who play don't mind being around a couple of dogs.

I would like to build enough of a player base to have two back to back sessions for the future and multiple tables running at the same time.
Sovereign Court 5/5 RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

Number on Ravenstone's page is no good.

Silver Crusade 4/5

I have created a flyer and will drop off a couple copies at the Guard Tower. I have also created the event here on Paizo so hopefully we can get even more players to show up.

Silver Crusade 4/5

Matt,
I got an email from someone who will be bringing his 13 yr old and they will be playing so that gives us at least 3 counting you. I can play a pregen if needed to get us to 4 if we do not get anyone else. We may get at least one more as the store employee who will be working was interested in playing which gets us playing at the table in front.

Dave,
We could prob play on April 17th at the Guard Tower, it might be a little busy but we should be fine.

Liberty's Edge 1/5

Excellent! Let's plan on the Guard Tower on the 17th then. There are three of us so far. Thanks Michael!

Sovereign Court 5/5 RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

Sounds like a clever plan *laugh*

Hi everyone.

Yes, there ARE PFS games at Ravenstone. They played a bit last year, then (as Matt said), real life intervened and things petered out over the holidays. We have started getting things going again. In fact, the plan is to play this Saturday - though the time and scenario are a bit up in the air due to low response at this time. LOVE to get more people involved! Check out the Columbus Pathfinder Society page on Facebook - some of us are there.

See! I was right! They never call they never write... (sniffs arm pits)

Seriously I didn't know there was a Columbus PSF page, I checked the Warhorn page I'd been viewing and found it blank.

Liberty's Edge 3/5

I really thought I did respond to you Matt. The problem I was having with Warhorn was people wanted to use in store signups and such. Looking at what the players that I know will show have played, I'm thinking I'm going to run Frozen Fingers of Midnight this Saturday at 2 PM.

Sovereign Court 5/5 RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

It's ok. I didn't get a mail, but I was just kidding. (at least I hope I'm not that much of a jerk IRL)

Liberty's Edge 1/5

Michael, do we have a spot at the Guard Tower on the 17th then or do we need to lock it in somehow? Then we need to pick a scenario. I am happy to run any of them or play if somebody else wants to run one (Any Tier is good). I could run The God's Market Gamble Tier 1-5 which comes out at the end of this month I believe. Then we can start rounding up a few more players! Thanks!

I'll be needing Caffiene, but I scored the map pack with the ambush site from the Guardtower, so I'm packing 'First Steps' and Crypt of the Everflame at all times now :-)

Silver Crusade 4/5

Sorry. I had some issues connecting to Paizo recently, even from my cell phone.

Dave,
If you want to run the new scenario, your more then welcome to do so. If your going to GM it, you get to choose. :-) The only days I was told that are full at Guard Tower is Thursday and Fridays. I will confirm it for you.

Matt,
We will have to make sure there is plenty of Caffeine for you on the 17th.

Bigwave & BTLOTM,
We have already setup a game for this Saturday. We do not have a full table but enough to run. Your more then welcome to join us. I am looking to run most likely the 1st scenario as there will be a couple new players to Pathfinder Society. I am also trying to setup 2-3 gaming days a month. I would like to get multiple tables up and running with the goal of being able to run up to 2 scenarios per table on the game days. I was looking to run the sessions at the Guard Tower to start and then as the group grew, add in games at Ravenstone. If you want to join up, we can setup specific gaming days for each store like 2nd Saturday of the month be at Guard Tower and 4th Saturday at Ravenstone. Depending on how many folks are at your games, we can have two tables running.

The guard tower is the ultimate RPG gamer spot in the area. I've spent hundreds of dollars there when I lived in Ohio.

Liberty's Edge 3/5

Michael

That sounds great, I usually run at Ravenstone on Saturdays. I'm glad you're running stuff at the Guardtower, given that my schedule prevents me from doing so.

Sovereign Court 5/5 RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

Ok so now I'm confused. There are two games Saturday?

Liberty's Edge 3/5

Matthew Morris wrote:

Fortunately or Unfortunately, yes. I had one on the books before I saw this post.

Liberty's Edge 1/5

So who plans on being at the Guard Tower on Tuesday the 17th? Michael and Matt. Who else?

Silver Crusade 4/5

Matt,

There is the game at the Guard Tower that we setup and then BTLOTM setup a game at Ravenstone not realizing that we set one up. We are going to look to try and coordinate for future events. I was contacted by another group as well that wants to try and coordinate events and their leader is looking to play at Guard Tower on Saturday.

Dave,

So far its the 3 of us but there are now 2 other groups we can try and get players from. If you are going to GM, go ahead and setup the event here on Paizo and mark it as public so others can see. I will create another flyer for that game and get it up on the other two group's Facebook pages. I confirmed that Tuesdays are good at the Guard Tower.

I look forward to getting input from all Columbus area players!
My group currently meets on Mondays at The Soldiery and we have a PFS game scheduled for April Second. Report in on the facebook event or contact me directly so i can plan accordingly!

I'll find out if I'm brinign the Niece tonight. Maybe the Nephew (14 and more physical) too.

Hey everyone i'm a new player and did not get around to reading this entire page but i would love to play this Saturday the 24th correct? I also have a friend that might be interested in playing tomorrow. If somebody was willing to post a final place, and time, for this game for he and i that would be greatly appreciated.

Silver Crusade 4/5

JJ36,

There are two games going on this Saturday. I have a session setup at the Guard Tower running from 3pm to 7pm. I will be there early about 2:15 - 2:30 pm to help create new characters but I'll also have pregens available for play. BTLOTM is running a game at Ravenstone starting at 2pm and presumably going to 6pm. You and your friend are welcome to join either gaming session. He is running #4 Frozen Fingers of Midnight scenario while I am running #1 Silent Tide scenario. There will experienced players at both games that can help you.

Hey Michael thank you for letting me know! i am so very sorry me and my friend could not make it things came up we had to take care of. I was wondering if there was a facebook group of some sort or something that i could join that will have future games times, and places posted on it when they are planned.

Silver Crusade 4/5

JJ36,

There is a Facebook Group setup called Columbus Area Pathfinder Society. The page is at http://www.facebook.com/groups/202823213159634/ and it already has a few events setup for April.

Thanks everyone who came out to the Guard Tower today. We had enough to run a full table and fun was had. Currently there are games setup for April 2nd at the Soldiery, April 7th at the Guard Tower and April 17th at the Guard Tower. Look for more events to be added including events at Ravenstone.

Sovereign Court 5/5 RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

Thank you everyone who played. I hope everyone had as much fun as a rusty GM who loves funny voices. I just got in (had to run the munchkins home) but they and I had a great time. I'll enter people's numbers later, if you don't mind.

Sczarni

i requested to join the facebook group thank you michael

I think I've the event entered correctly *crosses fingers*

Liberty's Edge 1/5

I have entered the details for the game on April 17th at the Guard Tower (6-10 PM) on the Paizo system. I will run #3-18 The Gods Market Gamble and provide caffeine for Matt! I will get it entered on the fb site as well.

Silver Crusade 4/5

There is a game setup for Ravenstone on April 14th starting at 5pm. Pathfinder Society Scenario #3-01: The Frostfur Captives is the currently scheduled scenario.

Let me check this weekend with the sister. I'm hoping to go up to Utica friday and sit down with the kids and make their own characters, instead of the iconics. If I can clear it with her to abduct them again, I'd be amicable to running First Steps pt II on the 7th, either at Ravenstone or Guardtower.

Silver Crusade 4/5

As a reminder, tonight is game night at The Soldiery starting at 6:30. We have at least enough for 1 table and might have enough for two. Os if there is anyone else who was thinking about coming out, please join us in some fun.

Update for this Saturday's event at the Guard Tower from 3-7.

Current scenario:
First Steps—Part II: To Delve the Dungeon Deep run by Matthew Morris

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st level characters.

You venture for the first time into the massive haunted dungeons beneath an abandoned siege tower in the deadly Cairnlands, where you will experience firsthand the true dangers of being a tomb-delving Pathfinder.

Backup Scenarios:
We Be Goblins! run by Michael McNerney

A most unusual adventure for 1st-level goblin characters.

The Licktoad goblins of Brinestump Marsh have stumbled upon a great treasure—fireworks! Yet unfortunately for them, the tribe member responsible for the discovery has already been exiled for the abhorrent crime of writing (which every goblin knows steals words from your head). To remedy this situation, the Licktoads’ leader, His Mighty Girthness Chief Rendwattle Gutwad, has declared that the greatest heroes of the tribe must venture forth to retrieve the rest of the fireworks from a derelict ship stranded in the marsh. In order to prove themselves as the Licktoads’ bravest goblins, the PCs must complete a series of dangerous dares, from swallowing bull slugs and braving the dreaded Earbiter to dancing with Squealy Nord himself. Yet even once they’ve proven their mettle, the adventure is just beginning. For the ship in question is far from uninhabited, and Vorka the cannibal goblin would like nothing better than a few tasty visitors....

or

#2-11: The Penumbral Accords run by Michael McNerney

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 4–5).

The daughters of Absalom's mysterious Blakros family have long been among the most pursued maidens in the Inner Sea. Now the family's matriarch approaches the Pathfinder Society to help her break a centuries-old pact with the denizens of the Plane of Shadow to save her twin daughters from a life of servitude at the hands of the Onyx Alliance. Heading into the fan-favorite adventuring location of Blakros Museum, the PCs have only a short amount of time to break the Penumbral Accords and solidify the Pathfinder Society's ties to the powerful Blakroses.
