A big thankyou to all the PFS GM's at ukgamesexpo for their hard work. It was my first time playing PFS and I was impressed by the conditions under which you all kept your cool.

The one thing I would say about the venue was the noise level in the Pentland room. After playing in home groups for years it was very difficult to adjust to that level of background noise.

For Russ ... Somewhere in Brinestump marsh a ship full of fireworks detonates killing six goblins ... Nobody cares! ...

PS - Dave - what map where you using for your Defenders of Nesting Swallow? It looked so perfect for the module! Want one!
It was a village map that came with an issue of Dragon. I'll check out the issue number.

All it says on the map is Dragon 2003. I can't find out any more information than that. Anybody out there know which issue it was from?

Hi all,

thanks to all those who were involved at Expo, I played my first PFS game and loved it :)

The question is now, how do I find PFS games in the Birmingham/ Leicester area? Any ideas much appreciated...

Apart from Paizocon UK you could try browsing/emailing all the local clubs - I found a list by looking up if any shops around Birmingham are part of Free RPG Day.

EDIT: and of course use the UK Roleplayers Forum

Thanks for the list :)

I may try and convert my current gaming friends to PFS. We have been playing Kingmaker, so it might be a possibility. The nice thing about PFS was that you didn't know the people so well, so you couldn't just rely on your friend to heal you, and the dynamic of the group was differnt to what I was used to.

Not sure how some of those costume attendees survived in that sun...

PaizoCon UK itself is sold out. Not sure if the Friday night Balti social is full.

Re my map query - I think it was probably from Dragon 305 - they had a sewers / cities battlemap in that issue. That sounds the likeliest I can see.
Sadly I can't find a second hand issue on my initial search.
But it did look gorgeous - I'm sure the player loved it!

Thanks for wrangling all the fabulous GMs!
Yet another great weekend with Pathfinder in the UK!

As a noob to PFS should my event have shown up on my character?

Yes - but give it some time.

All games are added manually by the organizer. As the organizer is a volunteer he will have to do this in his spare time after being able to get some sleep / rest as a multi-day CON can be very exhausting for GMs and organizers.

It is great to see new players here and being keen. But give the people some slack and ask back if it still hasn't appeared in maybe 2 weeks.

No - I wasn't at Games Expo this year - so I have no insider knowledge. I had been undecided until very late.

Manual input and lots of numbers to type too I bet :)

Plus a very old laptop that is barely limping along :(

If the info isn't input am I ok to play the character as long as I have the chronicle? I appreciate the effort it takes to put in all the sessions.

Sorry about the delay (it's me holding up reporting at the moment).

Yes, the chronicle sheets are the important items. The online reporting is really just a back up.

Yes, I now have a fully working computer, all the reporting collected together and Tuesday night set aside for doing it :)
