Demogorgon by Stan!

Dungeon Magazine General Discussion

I'm sure I once saw in a Dungeon mag a drawing of Demogorgon made by Stan!, but I can't remember which one.

Could someone point me to it?

thx in advance

This is the only one I remember, I don't know who the artist is.

Ok, found more..

Dungeon

Dungeon Issue #120.
Dragon Issue #357.

Thx, but I'm not referring to the covers.

Stan! is the artist that also made the comics of "Downer", the planar-travelling dark elf (also in Dungeon).

Osirion

I checked his homepage, etc. and for images of Demogorgon online (wow, some cool stuff), but I didn't see it. He's got a bunch of monster themed holiday cartoon stuff on the WotC site, but none involved Demogorgon, that I saw.

Check the Foreword of Dungeon #141.

Kyle Hunter (whose middle name is Stanley) is the one you're thinking of. Stan! is the creative director over Super Genius Games. They are not the same person.

Oh wow, there it is, on page 8! Good catch donato!

can't check it now, but I think it must be that one... I do remember it was in an article (or foreweord).

I was hoping for a digital vesrion, but I guess I'll have to scan it.

PS: Basically, our party is about to complete Savage Tide, and I want to make a present to all the players: a mug with Demogorgon on one side, and some text on the other side, like "I stopped the Savage Tide, and all I got is this mug" or something such...

No need to apologize. It was an honest mistake. If anyone should apologize, it's me as my post does come off as being harsh (even though that was not my intent). And with that said: I apologize for my harsh-seeming post.

Love the reward for your players though. Makes me want to step up my game as DM.

Blayde MacRonan is right that I am the Creative Director of Super Genius Games ... but I also am the creator of the Bolt & Quiver comic strip that ran in Dungeon for a number of years. However,, as far as I remember, Demogorgon never made an appearance in the strip.

Kyle S. Hunter is the mad genius behind Downer. He also did "chibi"-style spot illustrations of MANY of the classic D&D monsters, which graced the pages of both Dragon and Dungeon magazines when Paizo was publishing them. I bet he did the image you're thinking of, though I'm happy to take credit for it, if you liked it that much.

;^)

ok, finally had time to check, it is definitely that one, thx a million!

Now, only problem is that some text is super-imposed on the image... that's no good for a scan.

Do you think Paizo would be willing to provide the original pic in a digital format?

Nice job on the mugs! Did you manage to get the original illustration, then?

I second the awesome-sauce on that mug! Great job- that is the kind of coffee mug I would love to have here at work with me. :-)
