Btw- I so would have picked I, Claudius too for Sian Phillips. She was incredible.

Ghostbusters, the first movie I ever saw twice at the theater (the second time at a 99-cent theater, but still), though I'm a huge fan of Stripes and Caddyshack too.
Lets keep the theme going next person give us your favorite role by;

Too close to call between the original Superman and Batman Forever (yes, it was Schumacher dialed up, but it was dialed up JUUUUUSSSSSTTTT to the edge of camp-crazy... plus, yknow, DREW BARRYMORE as the delicious Sugar... sadly, it inspired them to dial it up to a million in the awful next Bat-movie).

Return of the Jedi with Kenny Baker as R2-D2.
If that's a cheat and you have to see them on screen (or if you just say Kenny Baker wasn't *really* a "star" in those movies), I was gonna say there's no school like the old school and pick The Wizard of Oz, but I think I'll go with Legend instead, even if it's 90% due to Tim Curry's awesomeness and 10% due to Mia Sara's pimptacular dress!
Does Disney's Robin Hood count? Because since Ive been a toddler, I bet Ive seen that movie a hundred times, especially since I hooked my daughter on it.
Favorite American football movie? (inspired by Lady Cluck's escape from the archery tournament. Our favorite part.)
Every time the Sheriff of Nottingham extorts that last coin from the dormice at the church, I rededicate myself to the cause of international proletarian socialist revolution.
And then I cry.

If we're including Lady Cluck's performance in Robin Hood, then I'm invoking Flash Gordon's epic throne room football game in (of course) Flash Gordon!
But that was made in my hometown, Doodlebug! (Björk enjoyed riding through town on a bicycle when she was taking a break from not getting along with Lars von Trier.)
Best Icelandic movie I've seen is the Herring Western Í skugga hrafnsins (Shadow of the Raven).
Favourite movie based on a story that was written down more than 500 years ago?
But my favorite character is Archie Long from Tough Guys.
Favorite movie where the star is over 65 years old.
Well, I'm not sure if you'd call him *THE* star, but I'm totally down for the cause with Christopher Lee in the LotR movies.
If you're looking for someone who's more like the headlining star of a movie, I'd say The Rock is definitely a fine guilty pleasure starring Sean Connery (I really enjoyed Finding Forrester as well).
