Oh 80's cartoons all the way, man. Both features the comedic stylings of Christopher Collins (stage name Chris Latta) as Starscream and Cobra Commander as well as Sparkplug, Wheeljack, and Gung Ho (and, by the way, also was the original voice of Mr. Burns during the first season of The Simpsons and Sgt. Knox on Star Blazers! I had no idea.). Besides, yknow, Scatman Crothers. Nuff said.

Favorite 3 voices for animated characters (i.e., even if you don't like the character, if you just love their voice)?

Mark Hamill as the Joker. (Batman/Superman TV movie)
Harvey Korman as Kazoo. (He was the dictabird in the Flintstones movie.)
Rene Auberjonois as Desaad. (He also was the chef in little mermaid.)

Favorite walk on appearance in a movie you weren't expecting to see?
(As Brenden Fraser appearing in the GI Joe movie.)

I'm not really a big fan of Mr. Bean, but Rowan Atkinson had a delicious though tiny role in Love, Actually.

Favorite martial arts movie?

Rowan Atkinson's best work was in Blackadder

This is also good.

Also true for Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Miranda Richardson, Rik Mayall, and a few others.

(Not BRIAN BLESSED!!!, though - for him it'd be I Claudius.)

Anyone have a favorite martial arts movie? I don't.

I've kept back, hoping someone more into martial arts movies would respond, but since that doesn't seem to be happening I'll go with Fearless. Unless we count boxing as a martial art, in which case I'd go with Raging Bull.

Favourite movie with Jet Li?

[facepalm]

I never even considered boxing movies.

Scarab Sages Contributor, RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4, Legendary Games

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'd certainly consider the "sweet science" a martial art.

Favorite Jet Li movie, and this may get knives tossed my way, but I enjoyed The Expendables far more than I probably should have. It delivered exactly what it promised. :)

Favorite Sylvester Stallone movie?

Sovereign Court

First Blood. Great movie.

Favorite spy movie? (Not action focused no bond or bourne. Example Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy)

Grand Lodge

Triple Cross

Favorite Christopher Plummer movie?

Syriana (actually, I should probably say The Man Who Would be King, but he's only in it for about two or three scenes.

Favourite Chris Cooper movie?

Matewan NSFW!

I haven't posted in this in about, oh, two months or so.

I will have to go with Emergency. It qualifies since the first episode was a TV movie pilot.

Favorite rescue movie?

Scarab Sages Contributor, RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4, Legendary Games

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

Hey, rescuing Merry and Pippin was a big part of that movie! :)

In honor of the fallen Mongo, him only pawn in great game of life, favorite Alex Karras movie other than Blazing Saddles?

Babe (1995 TV Movie about Babe Didrikson)

Alex Karras met future wife Susan Clark here (she played Babe and he played her husband).

My challenge: Name 5 couples who met for first time on set playing husband and wife, then got married in real life.

Scarab Sages Contributor, RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4, Legendary Games

Val Kilmer and Joanne Whaley in Willow (okay, they weren't technically married in the movie, but Mad Martigan and Sorsha definitely were seriously dating by the end of the movie)

Four more couples?

Scarab Sages

Okay. I will allow romantically involved in the move, but they still need to marry in real life.

Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon in Bull Durham.

Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall in The Big Sleep

Two more to go...

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in Mr and Mrs Smith. (They live together and have kids together. That counts as far as I'm concernd.)

And Angelina Jolie (again) and Billy Bob Thornton in Pushing Tin.

Favourite Jonny Lee Miller movie?

Grand Lodge

I really like him in Elementary. But someone else will have to answer about a favorite Johnny Lee Miller movie.

I had no idea who he was, but the internet says he was in Trainspotting, which I liked.

Faves other Danny Boyle flick?

I'm not allowed to pick Trainspotting? And since you said flick, I guess the Olympic opening ceremony is out of the question. *sulks* Honestly, it'd be easier to pick one I didn't like (The Beach), but I'll be a bit of a contrarian and pick A Life Less Ordinary.

Favourite movie with some of the main parts being angels?

Scarab Sages Contributor, RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4, Legendary Games

It's a Wonderful Life

Favorite movie featuring retired football player(s) as actor(s)?

Elizabeth, which has Eric Cantona as the French ambassador to the Virgin Queen's court.

Favourite Cate Blanchett role?

Katherine Hepburn in The Aviator

Favourite movie featuring a talking animal?

Scarab Sages Contributor, RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4, Legendary Games

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (recent live-action version)

Favorite non-talking animal in an animated movie?

Grand Lodge

Buster, Andy's Dog in Toy Story 2 and 3. And I only picked that because it was the first animal I could think of that did not talk in an animated movie. It was funny that the Toys could talk, but not the dog.

Favorite Voice Actor in an animated movie?

Extra credit:

Favorite Voice Actor that is mainly known for just doing Voice work?

Scarab Sages Contributor, RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4, Legendary Games

Lots of choices, and villains do get the best lines, but I might have to say Tony Jay in Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Extra Credit: Frank Welker - that's pretty much his entire career.

Favorite voice actor (non-villain category) in an animated movie?

Grand Lodge

Back to Toy Story! Tim Allen as the voice of Buzz Lightyear. "To Infinity and Beyond!"

Favorite three co-stars working with Tim Allen in a movie or television, animated or otherwise?

Alan Rickman, Sigourney Weaver and toss up between Tony Shaloub and Sam Rockwell in Galaxy Quest.

Have we done Sam Rockwell yet?

Favorite Sam Rockwell performance that isn't in GQ?

Sovereign Court

Noomi Rapace Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

5 best Suspense thrillers?

Scarab Sages Contributor, RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4, Legendary Games

What counts as a suspense thriller?

I would suggest a list like:

The Fugitive, The Hunt for Red October, North by Northwest, Inside Man, Wargames

But I'm not sure that these are the same kind of movies you mean. When I hear suspense thriller I usually think of things with some kind of conspiracy going on - either criminal or governmental - with a lot of tense action but that isn't necessarily a shoot-em-up/blow-em-up movie, often with espionage but not a pure "spy" movie, with tension and anxiety but not "scary" per se.

Favorite 3 Ian McKellen roles?

Richard III in Richard III
Gandalf in the [Lord of the Rings[/i] trilogy
Chauvelin in The Scarlet Pimpernel

(He's pretty decent as Magneto in X-men and as the eponymous lead in Emile too.)

Favourite version of The Scarlet Pimpernel?

The novel by the Baroness Emmuska Orczy.

Favorite Richard E. Grant role that is not the BBC Scarlet Pimpernel series?

The Doctor (Comic Relief: Doctor Who - The Curse of Fatal Death)

Favorite Hugh Grant role (Not Comic Relief)?

Whatever-he-was-called in Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Favourite role by BRIAN BLESSED's in-character boyfriend in that film, John Hannah?

(Warning, the Brian Blessed link leads to some truly foul language.)

Scarab Sages Contributor, RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4, Legendary Games

I enjoyed him in the The Mummy. Sequels, meh, but the first one was lots of fun.

Favorite Rachel Weisz role, other than in that movie?

Grand Lodge

I liked her in Constantine. But The Mummy made her. She was perfect in that movie in every way.

Favorite Brendan Fraser role?

Alden Pyle in The Quiet American

Spoiler:
Favourite Rachel Weisz for me would probably be in either Land Girls (very early one), or The Constant Gardener where she made you care about finding out who had really killed her despite not much screen time at all.

Favourite Michael Caine role from before the 1970s?

Alfie? Harry Palmer? I'm going with Zulu (click for whole movie!)

Favorite Michael Caine role from the 1970s?

Clash of the Titans (1981)

Favorite Mythological movie?

Scarab Sages Contributor, RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4, Legendary Games

The tastefully named Jason and the Argonauts, of course!

Favorite Harryhausen movie other than the above?

Grand Lodge

Clash of the Titans

I still like the Medusa in this one.

Favorite Sian Phillips role?

Sorry, but I have to answer with one from a TV-series - she's absolutely marvellous (marvellous, I tells ya!) as Livia in I, Claudius.

Favourite Patrick Stewart role where he has hair, or well, a wig since he lost his hair at a very early age?

He's got some hair here.

The guy playing Trotsky looks like Vonnegut, methinks.

Favorite movie with an appearance by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. or a screenplay adapted from one of his works?
