The worst date movie I ever saw was Autumn in New York

I sat there watching it, my eyeballs bleeding, thinking to myself, I better get laid, I better get laid, I better get laid.

Sadly there wasn't even a handjob in the stars that night, and I never called her again. A goblin's got to have standards, after all.

---

On the other hand, there was one young gobbess--our first date was Saving Private Ryan and the night she finally dropped her knickers was Life Is Beautiful. Odd.

Inspector Clouseau

What is your favorite character in the Pink Panther films who was not played by Niven or Sellers?

Dreyfus (especially when he goes Bond-villain on us in one of the later ones).

Favourite Peter Sellers role in Dr Strangelove?

The eponymous hero, of course.

Favorite Sterling Hayden role?

Very nice!

Favorite Sterling Hayden role? Of course, Brig. General Jack Ripper (Doctor Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb)

What is your favorite Stanley Kubrick film that is not Doctor Strangelove?

Lolita.

Actually, it's probably The Killing which is another Sterling Hayden for ya.

Did you like A.I.?

I liked A.I. It is far from my top 10 though. But Jude Law's Gigolo robot was fascinating. Some of the visuals were memorable. Overall, I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. Good but not great. How about you Doodlebug? Did you like A.I.?

Q: What is your favorite Jude Law role?

Jude in Love, Honour, and Obey

Q: What is your favorite Jude Law role?

I remember liking it up until the last ten minutes or so. I don't know if it's part of the original story or not, but it just felt like Spielberg messing up the ending of a Kubrick film.

I haven't seen it in quite a while, though. I wonder if I still have a copy around here...

Good synopsis on A.I. Dooblebug. I have to agree with you about the ending.

A: It was nearly a toss up but I will give the very slightest edge to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade over Raiders of the Lost Ark for no other reason than Sean Connery and Harrison Ford together as Father and Son was just brilliant.

Q: What is your favorite Sean Connery movie?

If I had to choose one, it'd probably be Marnie.

Keeping with the James Bond (or not) theme, Favorite Pierce Brosnan movie in which he does not play James Bond?

Marnie?

Well, Tippi Hedren was hawt.

Hitdice wrote:

I'd say The Tailor of Panama but that might as well be James Bond.

Favorite Geoffrey Rush movie?

The King's Speech, call me Monarchist if you must, but I loved it.

I feel sorry for Sappho, she wrote elegant, moving poetry (which, I am assured, is much better in the original Greek) but mostly she is just remembered for being lesbian.

She has, however, had some very good translations, so at least we can appreciate the work.

Osirion RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4; Contributor; Publisher, Legendary Games

While I'm not one of the ladies, my favorite Colin Firth role is as Jamie in Love, Actually.

Favorite Alan Rickman role (excepting the above)?

His Sheriff of Nottingham was one of the few bright spots in Prince of Thieves (which is a pretty decent D&D movie if you rename all the characters to something not to do with Robin Hood, if you ask me).

He's pretty awesome in Blow Dry and Galaxy Quest too, for that matter. Not to mention the music video for Texas' In Demand and his five-second appearance in the TV-version of Smiley's People.

Favourite Robin Hood movie?

Spoiler:
The man got to snog Sharleen Spiteri, lucky, lucky bastard! I will forever remain jealous of him.

Rickman made a very good Snape. I thought he deserved a Supporting Actor nomination for the last Harry Potter movie.

Answer to Favorite Robin Hood Movie? I have to go with a TV series here. The Michael Praed portions of the British series "Robin Hood" from 1984. The group Clannad did the soundtrack. It was awesome.

What is your favorite Robin Hood movie that was not a British TV series? :)

Childhood kicking in but favorite non british Robin Hood, the Disney animated version.

Favorite american non-disney animated movie.

Osirion RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4; Contributor; Publisher, Legendary Games

I'd answer the Rankin-Bass TV movie of "The Hobbit," though it was mostly produced in Asia despite R-B being an American company.

If it doesn't qualify, probably Titan A.E.

Here's an amusing one:

Favorite badass door-opening scene (hero or villain, doesn't matter)?

Gonna defer jason's question to the next person since my favorite is from a TV show. But early in season 3 of bleach the Squad 8 Lt. Is rushing to deliver his captain a message in doing so he throws open the door and drops to his knees with his head to the floor and slides down the hallway in that postion to end up in front of the Capt.

This is totally damn cool - completely out of touch with the rest of the movie, but totally damn cool.

Favorite villain entry?

Osirion RPG Superstar 2008 Top 4; Contributor; Publisher, Legendary Games

The Balrog in Fellowship of the Ring has a pretty badass entry.

Favorite villain entry that is a person, not a monster or other non-human creature?

Damn. That disqualifies this scene, which would have been my answer to Jason's and feytharn's previous questions.

This is where it's a pity they never got 'round to making the second (or is it third) Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy film.

Irreconcilable Differences
Cat's Eye.

She was the quintessential adorable little girl in like every movie in the '80s, and she was good in those movies, unlike most kids who are naturally lousay actors. And then she hit puberty and completely burned out.

Post-rehab? I guess 50 First Dates was almost watchable, too.

LoL! At least it was made in Mexico.

It looks like someone got Ninja'd.

To answer your question about favorite drugged out teen actress, I'll have to go with Lindsay Lohan.

And now on to Charles Scholz's question:

Favorite movie so far this year?

spoiler:
I'll let someone else answer this as a part of the game, but John Carter was a very special event for me. I really enjoy it. Avengers was very cool too.
