Master of Many Styles Prereqs

Liberty's Edge

The Master of Many Styles archetype says, "At 1st level, 2nd level, and every four levels thereafter, a master of many styles may select a bonus style feat or the Elemental Fist feat. He does not have to meet the prerequisites of that feat, except the Elemental Fist feat. Alternatively, a master of many styles may choose a feat in that style’s feat path (such as Earth Child Topple) as one of these bonus feats if he already has the appropriate style feat (such as Earth Child Style). The master of many styles does not need to meet any other prerequisite of the feat in the style’s feat path."

Does this mean that you can also take style feats without meeting the prerequisites during your normal feat gain levels (1st, 3rd, 5th, etc)? So for instance, if I had 10 strength, and took Dragon style as a bonus feat despite not having the requisite 15 STR (bypassing prereq), could I then take Dragon Ferocity at level 3 despite still not meeting the prerequisites? Or does the bypass only apply to the bonus feats?

Grand Lodge

Bonus feat only.

Hey, I had a quick question regarding this archetype and I didn't want to start a new thread for it. I'm wondering what my feat options are at first level as a human monk. Based on what I've read, of my three starting feats, only one qualifies to ignore the prerequisets. Whats confusing to me is that it specifically allows you to fuse two styles at level one and I don't see how you could have two when most of them require a higher bab or several ranks in a skill. Crane style might work since all I need is the dodge feat to qualify but nearly every other style either requires a higher monk level or a minimum of three ranks in a skill. So what's the point of allowing fusion at first level if its more or less unavailable till at least second?

Edit: after reviewing the other style requirements, it appears that snapping turtle style is also a possibility. So based on this, I can only fuse if I choose either snapping turtle and a different style as a bonus, or crane, using my human feat to qualify and my bonus feat to bypass another styles requirements?

In cases where it's your first MoMS level, but not your first character level, and you already have one style, and would like to combine it with a second at the same time.

Yeah, you can take snapping turtle, (1st normal), a human feat(any) and the first style feat (bypassing prereqs).

Or you can take dodge(human), crane style (1st level) and either crane 2/3(bypassing prereqs) or another style feat (bypassing prereqs)

Or Combat reflexes (human) Panther Style(1st level), and another style feat (panther 2/3, or any other first style bypassing prereqs).

Strangely enough, if you have a Wis of 15, at 1st level human MoMS or Unarmed fighter, you can have the entire panther chain legally. (Panther style ignore prereqs, human panther claw, 1st level panther parry. it's the only chain where there are no prereqs but the chain after the first feat. And since you get AoOs based on wis, you don't -need- the combat reflexes to pull it off.)

Most people use crane a lot, but if you're planning on staying MoMS, or even just doing a 2-3 level dip, Pick up a level of Unarmed fighter who gets all prof with all weapons with "monk" in it, and another style feat ignoring prereqs as your first level, then take 2 levels of MoMS to get up to 2 styles with the first and a later feat in the chain by level 3. (usually used for things like snake, dragon, boar, tiger, or an elemental type.)
