Synthesist summoner and Eidolon attack?

Rules Questions

Liberty's Edge

My Eidolon is serpentine and starts with bite and tail slap. With evolutions i gave him a sting attack and limbs(arms). My question is how would his attack bonuses work out being that once an eidolon gains 3 natural attacks he gets multiattack as a bonus feat?

Liberty's Edge

If I also wanted to wield an elven curve blade?

Eidolons don't get multiattack for free until level 9.

PRD summoner

look at Table: Eidolon Base Statistics
it lays out when eidolons gain the listed specials

Liberty's Edge

Multiattack: An eidolon gains Multiattack as a bonus feat if it has 3 or more natural attacks and does not already have that feat. If it does not have the requisite 3 or more natural attacks (or it is reduced to less than 3 attacks), the eidolon instead gains a second attack with one of its natural weapons, albeit at a –5 penalty. If the eidolon later gains 3 or more natural attacks, it loses this additional attack and instead gains Multiattack.

As for mixing manufactured weapons with natural attacks.

All the the natural attacks become secondary (-5 Att / 0.5x Str)
If you have multiattack, the -5 is reduce to -2.

I'll just assume you're spending the feat on exotic proficiency to do that

The text describes what is on the chart.
The chart dictates WHEN you gain it.
It clearly shows level 9.

Right, and the eidolon gets multiattack at 9th level.

Liberty's Edge

ok. and yes i am taking the feat for the curve blade. I am going to build this character for society play so i can't get multiattack till 9th lvl since feats from beastiary are outlawed right?

As you said - feats from the beastiary are outlawed in Society play - including the one (Multiattack) that you gain by lvl 9. So you don't get it.

Other: all creatures in this book are legal for polymorph effects (including a druid’s wild shape ability) within the boundaries of each spell or ability’s parameters.

Eidolon gets Multiattack at 9th level, even in PFS.

Wauw. I had not thought of that. Thank you :)

Liberty's Edge

Thanks for all the info

i have a question: is there a way to get more attacks in a round? I think that the low BAB is enough disadvantageous, so why can't an eidolon have more attacks than one for each round? Can an eidolon use more of his natural weapons in a full round attack?

You use all of your natural attacks in a full attack action.

thank you!!
i didn't understand this because italian translation is not so good, and i'm not very good with english, so i thought that the eidolon can have only an attack in each round... ok, now i've got probably the best character in the campaign o.o

That tends to happen with the summoner.

Remember that there's an explicit limit to the number of natural attacks an eidolon can possess at any given level. It's in the Eidolon table.

i know :)
but it's still the best character... and the most WONDERFUL class in my opinion ^^

Please show up early and give the DM plenty of time to vet your character sheet. I've never seen a summoner that did not have something done wrong.

(You could also post the entire thing in the Advice forum and people might be willing to go over it for you.)

-edit-
Sorry Rettile, I confused you and Only1wookie who was building it for PFS. I was recommending showing up early for PFS if you have an unusual or complex character. Carry on!

we already started our campaign, and we're to the 6th level. Our DM preferes to take care of our sheets, so i don't remember the build perfectly...
but i think i did it right, because i spent a lot of time on this character before starting the campaign. I didn't know this forum, and now i think i will use it very often because it's the best way to have right advices. It was my only doubt, because i didn't find a clear explanation anywhere else, but now i'm really ready to be the worst nightmare of my enemies :D
(sorry for my awful english lol)
